This LEGO Artist Recreates Iconic Album Covers From Daft Punk, deadmau5, The Prodigy, More

Adnan Lotia is immortalizing the world’s most iconic albums using everyone’s favorite colorful bricks.  Lotia is living out a kid’s wildest dream by making masterful designs using LEGOs alone. He began by sharing his impressive LEGO designs of industrial robots and exotic cars, but once he pivoted towards re-creating album art in LEGO form, things really began to take off.  It all started with Pink Floyd’s iconic The Dark Side Of The Moon. Lotia considered whether the album cover’s triangular prism and beaming rainbow lights could be recreated using the popular toy. Turns out it could, but he would need to use a specialized software, BrickLink Studio to get the job done.  In just 25 weeks Lotia has amassed a collection of over 100...

“Nirvana Reimagined As House & Techno” Album Highlights Kurt Cobain’s Support for LGBTQ+ Causes

Previously, imagining what Nirvana would sound like as a dance music act was only a pie-in-the-sky thought, but today producers Jonathan Hay, Cain McKnight, and 41X have made the concept a reality. Their collaborative album, Nirvana Reimagined As House & Techno is not only a musical tribute to Kurt Cobain’s musical legacy, but also a tribute to his social and cultural impact. The inspiration for this seemingly outlandish idea is rooted in the artists’ desire to highlight Cobain’s fervent advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights. Given the vital role the queer community played in facilitating the rise of dance music culture, the producers felt that reimagining the musical world of Nirvana in an electronic music context would be an engaging way to highlight this infrequentl...

Earlier in the week, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny agreed with a petition from Spears and her attorney that Jamie Spears needed to give up his role as conservator. The decision comes months after the 39-year-old singer pleaded for her father’s removal in dramatic court hearings. Spears has been actively celebrating the decision on social media, recently sharing NSFW photos from a tropical vacation with her fiancé Sam Asghari. On Thursday, she took to Instagram to share a series of posts, including videos and photos of her topless or fully nude on her beach vacation. “A beautiful day here in paradise celebrating!!!!!!” Britney captioned a video set to Prince and the New Power Generation’s sexy 1991 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Cream.” In the cli...

Producer Frank Marshall on Why ‘Diana: The Musical’ Opened on Netflix Before Broadway

Before long, Marshall and his collaborators got restless. He recalls, “It seemed to me, as a movie producer, we’ve got the sets, and we’ve got the cast ready to go — everything was kind of in place at the theater. And it had just been announced that Hamilton [the filmed version for Disney+] had been moved up a year. I thought, ‘Maybe we could try to do this ourselves.’ So Beth [Williams, one of Marshall’s Broadway partners] and I called [Come from Away Tony winner] Chris Ashley, our director, and he said, ‘I’m in.’ And then I called Netflix.” The streamer signed on, and then it was up to Marshall and his team to carry out a safe shoot. As it turned out, his work as a producer of major motion pictures helped him to prepare. “At that same time,” he says, “we were trying to get Jurassic...

Previously, when asked about the song’s sensual undertones — Apple Music’s Zane Lowe once made a reference to “the joys of mutually appreciated oral pleasure” — Styles had simply responded, “Is that what it’s about? I don’t know.” His rescheduled Love on Tour trek has been one brimming with live music and memorable moments — like the time he helped a pregnant fan reveal the sex of her baby in front of the crowd earlier this week, and the time h...
