Boss Moves: Rick Ross’ New Book Debuts on Multiple Bestsellers Lists

The Perfect Day to Boss Up is more of an advice and “how-to” guide rather than a traditional memoir. The non-fiction book is dubbed as a “captivating and inspiring guide to building an untouchable empire from mud to marble, no matter what obstacles stand in the way.” Ross does shed light on personal struggles he’s had over the years though, from bad business decisions, to keeping an eye on the crew of people you surround yourself with. As the publishers’ notes say, “[Ross’] path to success was not always easy. Despite adversity and setbacks, Ross held tight to his vision and never settled for anything less than greatness. Now, for the first time, he shares his secrets to success, offering his own life as a road map to readers looking to build...

Padres & Airwaves: A Baseball Game With Tom DeLonge

Tom DeLonge knows everyone at Petco Park — or at least everyone at Petco Park knows Tom DeLonge. As the rare celebrity who considers himself a San Diego Padres fan, he’s a fixture at the stadium. As a season ticket holder for some of the plushest seats in the ballpark, he knows the stadium inside and out. It’s one of his favorite spots in his hometown, and it’s really the little things that he’s proud to point out as he walks through the concourse — like the composite floors around the concession stands to prevent the typical sticky concrete, the way the upper deck provides complete shade for many seats even during day games, and the hidden locations for the trained marksmen who watch over every game in the event of a security threat. When DeLonge walks through the crowds waiting for overp...

The Work – RIVERS OF NIHIL

RATING: 8.5/10 Here stands a glowing example of how the best metal bands are built for the long haul. With a burgeoning reputation as one of the most exciting new death metal bands around, RIVERS OF NIHIL hit the ground running with their 2013 debut album, “The Conscious Seed of Light”. Although squarely rooted in technical death metal album, it was very obviously the work of a band with fewer creative limits than most. Since then, the Pennsylvania quintet have made giant leaps forward with each successive studio record, culminating in 2018’s widely acclaimed “Where Owls Know My Name”. At that point, it became obvious that RIVERS OF NIHIL were following a similar trajectory to BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME, in that they had transformed from an extreme metal band w...

In a brand new interview with The Rock Experience With Mike Brunn, Jay Jay French was once again asked if thinks TWISTED SISTER will ever play live again, nearly five years after the band completed its farewell tour. The guitarist responded (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “I said never [before], ’cause I meant never last time, but then we got together again, so now you sound like an idiot. So I’m never gonna say never. We got together ’cause of 9/11 last time, and God forbid, nobody wants a disaster. But my band answered the bell on that selflessly — we went and did it for all the right reasons and came back for all the right reasons. We had the Christmas shows and Christmas album, which was a lot of fun to do. “No, I’m not gonna say it’s nev...
