Chuck D has responded to Flavor Flav‘s recent claims that he is the reason why Public Enemy is not reuniting. In a statement issued to HipHopDX, Chuck D stated: “Come on y’all. This is tired and stupid. Flav and I communicate on our own, so I normally don’t address these things in public. But I’m tired of the circus of airing news that ain’t news and am going to keep it factual here. Flav sues the folks he works with, so in 2017 he decided it was my turn. He lost when the judge dismissed the suit with prejudice in 2020, which means it’s permanent. Over. He can’t file again. He lost. Even after all of this, even after all the years of Flav giving the situation minimum while always asking for the maximum, I still work with him. But it’s time to change. Everybody in the situation can’t be bur...
It started, as a handful of fabled Challenge fallouts before it, with a collection of misplaced pizza slices. And now, former BFFs Josh and Fessy have come to blows. But can they make nice before their Big Brother estate totally goes up in flames, or is this bromance finally broken up for good? Since Fessy tossed the Vet Truce out the window by voting Amber (an alleged part of his Big Brother alliance, no less) into The Lair alongside Hughie, Josh — Amber’s partner — has been reticent to trust his former friend. Josh insisted that Fessy demonstrated total disregard with his vote, and on the latest episode of MTV’s competition series, he said Fessy could choose to apologize or suffer the consequences. “He does what’s best for Fessy…[but] we deal with all the backlash,” Josh lamented to Fess...
Mac Miller fans rejoice: The late rapper’s 2014 mixtape Faces is finally hitting streaming services on October 15th. It features guest appearances from the likes of Earl Sweatshirt, Vince Staples, The Cool Kids’ Sir Michael Rocks, and more. A follow-up to his 2013 album Watching Movies with the Sound Off, the mixtape served to hold fans over until the Pittsburgh native dropped his third album, GO:OD AM, in September 2015. And that’s not all the good news: Faces will also be getting a special vinyl release the same day, with cover art co-created by the late rapper and Sam Mason. A portion of proceeds from vinyl sales will benefit The Mac Miller Fund, which was established by Miller’s family in his hon...
