ALICE IN CHAINS guitarist and vocalist Jerry Cantrell has released the title track of his upcoming solo album, “Brighten”. Due on October 29, “Brighten” was co-produced by Jerry over the past year with film composer Tyler Bates and Cantrell’s longtime engineer Paul Figueroa. They welcomed a dynamic cast of supporting players, including drummers Gil Sharone and Abe Laboriel, Jr. (Paul McCartney), pedal steel master Michael Rozon, Vincent Jones on piano, Wurlitzer, and organ. Former JOURNEY singer Steve Perry has announced the digital release of his first holiday record of his illustrious career, “The Season”, on November 5. For years, fans have been asking for Perry‘s unmistakable voice to bring-in the holiday season. The hip-hop artist was recently featured on Baby Keem‘s new track, “family ties,” driving his return to the charts for the first time in a while. There has been a scarcity of new Kendrick music since his latest studio album, DAMN. was released in 2017. Ari Lennox has dropped off her first solo release of the year, “Pressure.” Produced by Jermaine Dupri, Bryan-Michael Cox and Elite, the Dreamville staple’s newest single was co-written by The Ocean Boys and Lennox herself, delivering an exciting partnership in the world of R&B. “Pressure” is also set to arive with an accompanying music video directed by Chandler Lass. Lennox’s last full-length effort dates back to 2019’s Shea Butter Baby, enlisting the help of J. Cole and JID on the 12-track project. She also joined Dreamville’s Revenge of the Dreamers III in July 2019 and delivered the Shea Butter Baby (Remix EP) in March 2020, the latter of which features Doja Cat, Smino and Durand Bernarr.
