Pavement to Reunite for First Tour in 10 Years
Back in 2010, Pavement announced the first string of shows since their breakup in 1999, mentioning the tour “was not a prelude to additional jaunts and/or a permanent reunion.” Surprise! They were wrong. Pavement will be hitting the road, performing in the UK and Europe in the fall of 2022. The Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain composers will also headline ES Primavera Sound Barcelona & Porto 2022. The UK tour includes a four-night residency at the Roundhouse in London. Tickets for the UK dates go on sale September 11 at 10 a.m. BST, and European tickets go on sale September 10 at 10 a.m. BST. Fans can purchase tickets on the band’s website. After being released within less than one week of each other, Drake’s Certified Lover Boy has officially out-streamed Kanye West’s DONDA, according to Rolling Stone. Study Reveals Music Workers With Disabilities Don’t Disclose Them to Employers Due to Fear of Discrimination
A new study conducted by Harbourside Artist Management and funded by the Arts Council found that many music professionals don’t disclose their non-visible disabilities to employers or colleagues. The study, which surveyed nearly 150 people in the music industry who have a disability or long-term health condition, found that 71% of the participants stated their disability was non-visible. Of those 71%, 88% mentioned they “sometimes” or “never” disclose their condition to those they work with. 69% admitted they believe this non-disclosure put their health and safety at risk. The official music video for “Stratego”, a brand new song from IRON MAIDEN, can be streamed below.
