Lala Lala Shares New Single “Prove It”: Stream

Lillie West’s Lala Lala has shared a new track called “Prove It.” Serving the third single from the project’s forthcoming third full-length, I Want the Door to Open, the track is available to stream below. Sparse yet driving, “Prove It” is an appraisal of those who strive for nothing but the concept of more. As West herself says, it’s “a song about insatiable people and the idea of ‘good’ vs ‘bad.’ It’s about lack of control. Even though this song is accusatory, I relate to the person I’m talking to. I think sometimes when we criticize other people we’re also talking about ourselves.” Previous I Want the Door to Open singles include the Nnamdï Ogbonnaya-assisted “DIVER” and “Color of the Pool.” To further tease the LP, Lala Lala has shared a new informercial, “Open the Door: Find Your...

SEX PISTOLS Members Respond To JOHN LYDON Over Court Case; He Calls Them ‘Filthy Liars’

SEX PISTOLS guitarist Steve Jones and drummer Paul Cook have blasted frontman John Lydon for his disparaging comments after he lost a legal battle over the right to use the band’s songs in the upcoming biopic miniseries about the U.K. punk legends. “Pistol” is a six-episode series about Jones. It is based on Steve‘s 2018 memoir “Lonely Boy: Tales From A Sex Pistol” and it is being helmed by Academy Award winner Danny Boyle, who serves as executive producer and director. Jones and Cook have argued in court that an agreement they signed with Lydon meant decisions regarding licensing requests could be determined on a “majority rules basis.” Lydon, for his part, claimed that the bandmember agreement had not been applied since it was signed more t...

IRON MAIDEN’s BRUCE DICKINSON On His Upcoming Film About Sarajevo Siege Concert: ‘It’s An Incredible Story’

IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson recently teamed up with filmmaker Sacha Gervasi (“Anvil: The Story Of Anvil!”) to co-write a narrative screenplay about the legendary concert Dickinson played with his solo band during the wartime siege in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina. Dickinson and his band came to Sarajevo with the help of UN troops in 1994 and held a concert at the Bosnian Cultural Centre. At the time, the city was cut off from the world, its citizens brutally terrorized by shooting, bombing and starvation with electricity and water supply being nothing short of a luxury. Bruce and his then-solo band drove through the frontlines and ultimately played a show for the people trapped in the city. What this gig meant to the people and how it changed Bruce and his band is told ...

Drake is known for frequently name-dropping athletes in his rhymes, so when a fan posted a tweet inadvertently challenging him to work Giannis Antetokounmpo into a song, he did not disappoint. While the name Antetokounmpo certainly isn’t the easiest to rhyme, fans were eager to see if and how the rapper would incorporate it into a track on the recently released Certified Lover Boy after the star player cinched this year’s NBA championship for the Bucks, finishing with an impressive 50 points. “Drake working Antetokounmpo into a line is gonna be tricky but he’ll figure out something,” a fan named Graydon Gordian tweeted out on July 20. The rapper rose to the challenge with a reference on “7am On Bridle Path: ” “Don’t move like a puto / Could at least keep it a buck like Antetokounmpo.” The ...
