HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Kevin Mazur / Getty The Made In America Festival went down smoothly this past weekend, but there’s always haters lurking. Bobby Shmurda had an object thrown at him while performing at the music festival in Philadelphia, and he went into the crowd to put hands on the alleged assailant. Fortunately for Bobby, his team seems to have helped stop a parole violation. Reports TMZ: The recently prison-sprung rapper was caught on video Saturday night at the Made in America Festival in Philly … where he’s said to have made appearances throughout, but stopped short of performing himself that night. He is, however, scheduled to go Sunday. Before he could do that, though, he ran into trouble — which required him to be yanked back and dragged away by his team. Watch th...
HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Christopher Polk/AMA2012 / Getty It’s 2021, and aligning yourself, even inadvertently, with anything R. Kelly-related is asking for a fail. Enter Drake, who sampled the disgraced crooner on his new album, Certified Lover Boy, and has been catching flack for it ever since. R. Kelly’s hit tune “Half On a Baby” is sampled on “TSU.” Anyone with fundamental knowledge of how music publishing works knows the Pied Piper had to be credited, or else he could come back and sue, and surely win, for copyright infringement. The 6 God’s longtime producer Noah “40” Shebib recently took to social media to explain details of what seemed like a suspect maneuver. 40 hit the comments on a post shared by Ravyn Wngz of an article that said R. Kelly was a “co-writer.” Turns out,...
HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Kevin Mazur / Getty Remember when Lil Uzi Vert was running around with an alleged $24 million diamond in the middle of his forehead? Well according to the Philly rapper, it was ripped out by fans during his set at Rolling Loud. It could have fell out, but we weren’t there. However, while attending the 40/40 Club’s re-opening, Uzi Vert told TMZ the tea. The rapper says he had a $24 MILLION rock embedded as a flashy facial implant, claiming he saved up for years for the pink gemstone and wanted it put in his forehead because he was afraid he’d otherwise lose it. According to Lil Uzi, the implant wasn’t foolproof when he did a stage dive at the Miami hip hop festival … and his fans ripped it right out of his forehead. The good news … he didn’t suffer any ser...
According to a slew of irate attendees, the 2021 edition of Elements Music & Arts Festival lived up to its name after a storm ravaged the campgrounds—and the event’s infrastructure. After proprietors promoted a “lakefront paradise” experience, the Pennsylvania-based festival was blasted by ticket-holders reporting crippling logistical issues and an alarming lack of organization. Elements began Friday, September 3rd and will conclude today, September 6th. A public Facebook group developed to air grievances against the camping festival, dubbed “Elements Shit Show 2021,” has amassed over 1,300 members in less than 24 hours. Its contents paint a grim picture of an understaffed, ill-equipped event with legions of incoming refund requests due to what m...
Former MANOWAR guitarist Ross “The Boss” Friedman has apologized for his disparaging comments about the band in a recent interview, explaining that it’s not his “style” to say “things like that.” A founding member of MANOWAR, Ross recorded six albums with the band before leaving after 1988’s “Kings Of Metal”. His work with MANOWAR included such classic LPs as 1982’s “Battle Hymns”, 1983’s “Into Glory Ride” and 1984’s “Hail To England”. Friedman discussed his time with MANOWAR during a chat with Waste Some Time With Jason Green. Recalling the circumstances surrounding his exit from the group more than three decades ago, he said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “When a...

In an Instagram video chat promoting METAL ALLEGIANCE‘s September 25 concert at Stereo Garden in Patchogue, New York, Demmel reflected on the VIO-LENCE gig, saying (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “We played a show in...

TRIUMPH guitarist/vocalist Rik Emmett spoke to The Metal Voice about the first-ever feature documentary about the band’s dramatic career, “Triumph: Rock & Roll Machine” (changed from the working title of “Triumph: Lay It On The Line”), which will receive its world premiere on Friday, September 10 at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Asked about what it was like to see the TRIUMPH story — “warts and all” — told in film form, Rik responded (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “You say ‘warts and all,’ and I think it’s the ‘and all’ that I would take issue with. First of all, Banger Films made it, and they’ve done this before — they’ve done it for IRON MAIDEN, they’ve done it for...

Other non-Battle Pass quests like the LeBron James and Vox Hunter quests, however, will be joining Chapter 2 Season 8. Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8...
