According to new reports, the highly-anticipated series featuring John Cho as Spike Spiegel will be getting its very own prequel novel named Cowboy Bebop: A Syndicate Story: Red Planet Requiem, authored by the show’s writer Sean Cummings and revolving the adventures of a young Spike and Vicious. On top of the novel, there’ll also be an original comic book series from Titan Comics. Lucifer‘s Dan Watters will be writing while Lamar Mathurin will be illustrating. Earlier this summer South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker announced that they signed a new deal with ViacomCBS and MTV Entertainment Studios to bring the franchise to Paramount+. The deal included 14 films to the streamer in addition to six more seasons of the television series. In a recent Paramount+ panel, ViacomCBS’ Tanya Giles confirmed that the first two installments of the South Park film will debut before the end of 2021, with two films coming out every year until 2027. Similar to the recent “South ParQ Vaccination Special” and “The Pandemic Special,” audiences can expect plot layouts akin to these episodes. With the six additional seasons, South Park is set to hit 30 total seasons. The move to Paramount+ gives the show and its creators a different way of reaching new audie...

A recent Twitter interaction between Kid Cudi and Lil Nas X has revealed that the possibility of the two collaborating on a project in the near future might be imminent. Lil Nas X recently revealed his much-anticipated album, Montero‘s tracklist. While many fans were excited for the release and were impressed with the features list which includes artists like Doja Cat, Miley Cyrus and Megan Thee Stallion, others ook to Twitter to criticize the fact that Lil Nas did not have any Black male features. One user pointed out that only “women and white men” were involved with his project. However, Kid Cudi seemed to have stepped into the conversation and responded to the Tweet saying that he is open to working with Lil Nas X and seemingly ready to change the perceptions of his fellow artist’s alb...
Rosie O’Donnell is putting the ‘O’ in ‘Oh, for fuck’s sake.” The comedian and conspiracy theorist has partnered with the notorious group Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth to present a screening of The Unspeakable, which purports to reveal the real story behind the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. The Unspeakable showcases interviews with several of the people who had been featured in Spike Lee’s HBO documentary New York Epicenters: 9/11-2021½, but who were subsequently cut following a public uproar. The filmmakers behind The Unspeakable refer to these cranks as “experts,” who were “censored.” After the screening of The Uproar, O’Donnell will interview family members who believe a shadowy conspiracy — perhaps the governm...
HBO Max has unveiled the trailer for Season 3 of Doom Patrol, and it’s a trip. The clip kicks off with the arrival of Madame Rouge (Michelle Gomez), who introduces herself after burrowing up from below the street in her giant time machine. “Now here’s what I do know: I seem to have traveled here via time travel capsule,” she tells the ragtag group of superheroes at the center of the show. “I came here because something very big is set to occur, and it needs to be stopped.” That very bad things appears to be, as April Bowlby’s Rita Farr (a.k.a. Elasti-Girl) pieces together, is the Brotherhood of Evil — the group of supervillains from DC lore that have long been antagonists to the Doom Patrol. “They are coming for us! This is everyone’s problem,” Madame Rogue shouts emphatically later in the...
Rosalía has joined forces with rising Dominican dembow artist Tokischa for a collaborative single called “Linda.” They’ve also shared a steamy music video for the track. While Rosalía is one of the biggest names in Latin music, Tokischa is one of the most controversial. Still, the latter’s rebellious, authentic nature and unique blend of trap and dancehall sounds has drawn plenty of positive attention in the music world. Speaking in a recent interview for an outlet in the Dominican Republic (via a press release), Rosalía said of her collaborator, “Tokischa is an irreverent woman, a woman who speaks frankly and isn’t afraid to make people uncomfortable. Tokischa is a woman who is going to make a big impact just based on the message that she gives and what she represents. She is a woman who ...
The Doors’ final studio album, L.A. Woman, turned 50 earlier this year, and that golden anniversary is now being celebrated with a new deluxe edition. Arriving December 3rd from Rhino, the L.A. Woman (50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) will include three CDs and one LP. The vinyl will include the original stereo mix remaster of the classic record, while the first CD will include that same mix plus two bonus tracks: a 1969 demo of “Hyacinth House” captured in Robby Krieger’s home studio, and an early demo of “Riders on the Storm” recorded at Sunset Sound studios. That latter track was only recently uncovered, recently found on an unmarked tape reel in The Doors’ vault long after it was considered a lost relic. This version of “Riders on the Storm” was recorded with producer Paul A. Rothc...
