After teasing his new collaboration with Smokepurpp last week at STORY Miami, NGHTMRE has released the highly anticipated collab, “MOSH.” Arriving by way of Ultra Records, “MOSH” brings high-octane energy that listeners of both NGHTMRE and Smokepurpp will welcome with open arms. Though it lacks a wild drop that some may have been expecting, the trap beat cooked up by NGHTMRE is enough to get a crowd rowdy. The snappy percussion partnered with Smokepurpp’s menacing flow makes this a surefire fan-favorite. Check out “MOSH” below. Luckily, this exciting development comes just in time for their forthcoming project, rounding out the emotional tones of their oeuvre. Recommended Articl...
Although they posted tributes earlier in the week on their respective social media accounts, the surviving members of the Rolling Stones honored drummer Charlie Watts in a video uploaded to their Twitter account. Watts died earlier this week at the age of 80. The video plays “If You Can’t Rock Me” throughout the montage, including photos and videos of Charlie. An older Mick Jagger at a press conference pokes at Charlie: “If you have any questions, Charlie will answer,” while Ron Wood pipes in, “Here he is, the wonderful illusionist!” Charlie just laughs along with the crowd. Check out the tribute below. An outpouring of support has been shown for Watts and the Stones by many artists throughout the week. The band recognized Watts as the backbone of the group, and drummers deem him an innova...
“Freeze My Mind”, the new Anuk Rohde-directed video from EMIGRATE, the side project of RAMMSTEIN guitarist Richard Z. Kruspe, can be seen below. The song is taken from EMIGRATE‘s upcoming fourth album, which is tentatively due before the end of the year. As a member of RAMMSTEIN, the music world’s most explosive live act, Kruspe has been part of a ground-breaking global success story that continues to build and to ignite; along the way, he’s turned his attention to a number of parallel projects, such as constructing a studio (and a home) in his native Berlin, but it’s his decision to launch the EMIGRATE setup that has given him the greatest chance to satisfy creative instincts outside of the parent group. The first EMIGRATE album appeared in 2007 (a self...
Earlier today (Friday, August 27), KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons joined “TMZ Live” to talk about the cancelation of the band’s Thursday night show in Pennsylvania after frontman Paul Stanley tested positive for COVID-19. “It is true that Paul caught COVID because this delta variant is very catchy,” Gene said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET). “Please send him your best wishes. But I just talked with Paul. We are sequestered, we are quarantined in a hotel. He’s gonna be great because he got vaccinated. He’s gonna be fine. The nature of this vaccine is that it protects you from going and having tubes down your throat and possibly dying. So you can still get it. “Everybody, wear your masks, please, especially in public, and please ...
A new four-minute video in which IRON MAIDEN singer Bruce Dickinson discusses the making of the band’s upcoming 17th studio album, “Senjutsu” can be seen below. “It was just under two years ago when we finished this album,” he said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET). “How nuts is that? “The album itself… Steve [Harris, bass] came up with a lot of stuff that he was… He buried himself away and then would say, ‘This is about that. Here’s the song.’ Adrian [Smith, guitar] and I wrote a couple of things — three things, actually — one of which turned out to be the first track, for which there is the video, obviously. And we wrote those sort of the way we normally wrote them, except instead of writing them in somebody’s bathroom ...
RATING: 8.5/10 For reasons that will become more than apparent when you hear “Wallflowers”, JINJER are currently being touted as metal’s next big thing. And that, in itself, is cause for celebration. Because while the Ukrainian quartet undoubtedly tick plenty of modern metal boxes, their fourth album displays the exact same disregard for convention or expectation that made them so interesting in the first place. Far from a big label push toward commercial acceptance, “Wallflowers” is a brave and adventurous thing, with multiple moments of monstrous brutality and elegant, progressive ingenuity. If JINJER‘s first three albums didn’t make it plain enough, this sonically immense leap forward proudly proclaims the band’s inherent oddness. Opener &...
Atlanta rapper GRIP has just released I Died for This!?, his guest-heavy new album and official debut on Eminem’s label Shady Records. Stream it below via Apple Music and Spotify. I Died for This!? is the third studio album GRIP has dropped over the years, following 2019’s Snubnose and 2017’s Porch. This time around, though, he’s leveling up in terms of his lyrical prowess and the guests he surrounds himself with — and clearly Slim Shady himself took notice. In fact, Eminem felt so strongly about GRIP’s future that he even hopped on “Walkthrough!,” undoubtedly the record’s biggest single. There are other big names across the LP’s 15 tracks, too, like Kenny Mason, Big Rube, and Royce da 5’9″. Plus, GRIP is also joined later on by Wiley from Atlanta, Dead Cassettes, Tate228, A...

For our favorite new songs from emerging artists, check out our Spotify New Sounds playlist. This week, Halsey refuses to hold back with pop-punk jam “Easier than Lying.” Halsey lets loose in a multitude of ways on their new album If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, but nowhere more so than on “Easier than Lying.” Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross co-wrote every song on the album, and “Easier than Lying” offers the perfect spot for their industrial sensibilities to reach full throttle. It’s wildly energetic and cathartic — and Halsey, who has proven to be adept at bouncing from genre to genre, truly shines in the pop-punk chaos of it al...
