Gorillaz has released a brand new EP out of the blue entitled Meanwhile. The short three-track project features all new songs, namely “Déjà Vu” with Alicaì Harley, “Jimmy Jimmy” with AJ Tracey and “Meanwhile” with Jelani Blackman and Barrington Levy. All of the songs were debuted live during their show at London’s O2 Arena earlier this August, with the EP serving as a celebration of Carnival and West London. Meanwhile arrives almost a year after the group’s latest studio effort Song Machine, Season One: Strange Timez, which included appearances from Robert Smith, Beck, ScHoolboy Q, Elton John, 6LACK, Octavian, slowthai, Skepta, EarthGang and JPEGMAFIA. Flavor Flav is confirming Dr. Dre‘s new project is on the horizon and that he has heard what the rap-mogul has been cooking up. In a recent appearance on the podcast Wilde Ride! with Steve-O, Flava Flav claimed that on he heard the record on his most recent visit to Dre’s house, “I was just over Dre’s house a week and a half ago. One of the best people in the world, man. Not only that, but I’m honored for him to have me record something at his house for his upcoming album that’s getting ready to come out. Westside Gunn has dropped off the eight installment in his Hitler Wears Hermes series, Sincerely Adolf. Clocking in at 40 minutes, the 13-track project features Lil Wayne, Jadakiss, Benny The Butcher, Conway The Machine, Stove God Cooks, Sauce Walka, Boldy James, Mach-Hommy and Rome Streetz and is billed as the first volume of Sincerely Adolf. The second half is scheduled to release on September 3, the eve of his and Griselda‘s performance at JAY-Z’s Made In America festival. North Carolina artist Indigo De Souza has just released her new indie pop album Any Shape You Take. Stream it below via Apple Music or Spotify. Any Shape You Take is a lyrical exploration of change and the dramatic role it plays in the human experience. A musician since childhood, De Souza co-produced the album with Brad Cook, who’s also worked with Bon Iver and Waxahatchee in the past. Earlier this week, it was briefly unclear if Megan’s “Butter” remix would see the light of day. In court documents filed on Tuesday in Harris County, Texas, Megan alleged that her label, 1501 Certified Entertainment, was blocking her from releasing the track. According to Variety, a judge ruled in favor of the rapper. This wasn’t the first time Megan has entered a legal dispute with 1501.
