Kanye West Just Dropped a ‘DONDA’ Stem Player

Ahead of his fourth album listening event in Chicago, Kanye West has updated his website with a new product: the DONDA Stem Player. This new music device is made in partnership with Kano — a start-up company that’s based out in London. So what does this contraption do? Well according to the product description found on Ye’s website, the Stem Player allows you to customize any song, meaning you can “control vocals, drums, bass, and samples, isolate parts, add effects, or split any song into stems. Visually, the technological piece is shaped in circular form, and comes manufactured with a soft silicone skin that’s drenched in beige. Surrounding its circular button in the center are four directional arrows that light up with blue and red hues. The upper right side features volume control butt...

Indigo De Souza Is Just Being Honest

By Max Freedman Indigo de Souza writes about thrilling moments of personal revelation as though finally cementing a long-fomenting, highly specific feeling is the ultimate emotional release. When she sings, “Now that everyone’s gone, I can tell you the truth / I don’t love you, I like you!” on 2018’s “Take Off Ur Pants,” she yelps it with so much ecstasy and liberation you can visualize triple exclamation marks. A standout instance of unburdening and excitement on Any Shape You Take, the follow-up to her anthemic yet spare debut I Love My Mom, is of a kindred spirit. “I’d rather die / Than see you cry!” de Souza exclaims on “Die/Cry,” on which jokes and epiphanies collide atop a semi-staccato power-chord run with giant indie-meets-pop-punk energy. It makes sense: de Souza tells MTV News th...

DaBaby “Whole Lotta Money,” Lil Yachty ft. DC2Trill “Lord Of The Beans” & More | Daily Visuals 8.24.21

HipHopWired Featured Video It’s been a turbulent few weeks for DaBaby. Once the sweetheart of the Hip-Hop game, the North Carolina rapper rubbed many the wrong way by beefing with Megan Thee Stallion, partnering up with her alleged shooter, Tory Lanez, and ultimately making some homophobic comments at his show. Still, looking to take it all in stride, DaBaby continues to live his life as if it’ll blow over (it probably won’t) and in his latest visuals to “Whole Lotta Money” showcases himself dancing, balling and poking fun at his “Cancelled” status by wiping away crocodile tears. Yeah, he’s not really helping his situation. Elsewhere Lil Yachty is living his best life in his own way and in his clip to the DC2Trill assisted “Lord Of The Beans” records himself getting a new tattoo in the stu...

Kanye West Files To Legally Change His Name To “Ye”

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Neil Mockford / Getty Kanye Omari West wants to change his name. The Chicago multi-hyphenate and occasional rapper has petitioned to legally change his name to “Ye.” TMZ reports that Yeezy filed legal documents in Los Angeles requesting that his name officially be changed to just his nickname, Ye. Reportedly, the “Heard Em Say” rapper also wants to drop the West from his name, too. Variety reports that Mr. West, for now, is seeking the change in moniker for “personal reasons.” To paraphrase that barber in Coming To America (Clarence, portrayed by Arsenio Hall), his momma named him Kanye, we’re going to call him Kanye. But in all seriousness, we’ll respect his wishes—and it seems like the judge will have no reason not to sign off on the request. West is go...

“Thank you to everyone for making your voices heard,” the message began. “We have secured assurances necessary to support our diverse creator community and have suspended the planned October 1 policy change. OnlyFans, founded in 2016, is most well-known for featuring adult content and was praised as a safe space for sex workers. Late night hosts also mocked the decision. “They know that fans of OnlyFans are only fans of one thing, right?” joked Late Show‘s Stephen Colbert previously. He also mocked the decision for the company to bow to pressure from banks. “Evidently, pornography ...

OnlyFans Comes to Its Senses, Drops Plans to Ban Sexually Explicit Content

OnlyFans has reversed course and dropped plans to ban pornography and other sexually explicit material. Citing “mounting pressure from banking partners and payment providers,” the social network announced last week that it would prohibit users from posting such content starting in October. “In order to ensure the long-term sustainability of our platform, and continue to host an inclusive community of creators and fans, we must evolve our content guidelines,” OnlyFans said in a statement at the time. Advertisement Related Video The decision infuriated OnlyFans’ community of two million creators, which is mostly made up of sex workers whose content is responsible for the platform’s financial success. In response to the news, many of those users have already begun migrating to other plat...
