Kacey Musgraves announced on Monday (Aug. 23), that she will release her upcoming studio album, Star-Crossed, on Sept. 10 via Interscope/UMG Nashville. She also dropped the project’s title track. For the new project, Musgraves reunited with Ian Fitchuk and Tashian, her collaborators on the Grammy-winning 2018 project Golden Hour. A press release for Star-Crossed describes the album as being “structured as a modern-day tragedy in three acts,” one that relates “an extremely personal journey of heartache and healing.” The 15-song album marks the first since Musgraves’ divorce from fellow musician Ruston Kelly. Former Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Nicholas Brendon has been arrested for prescription drug fraud after being found in possession of pill bottles prescribed to individuals other than himself. TMZ reports that Brendon, 50, was pulled over by Indiana police last week after he failed to signal and swerved into different lanes. According to an affidavit, officers say they observed Brendon sweating profusely and appearing “nervous due to a visibly racing pulse on his neck and shaking hands,” which prompted them to search his vehicle. Jerry Cantrell has announced a 2022 North American solo tour. The Alice in Chains singer-guitarist will be heading out in support of his upcoming solo album, Brighten, arriving October 29th. The outing will be Cantrell’s first full-fledged solo tour since 2004. Most recently, he performed a pair of intimate club shows with an all-star pickup band in Los Angeles in late 2019, prior to the pandemic. The extensive 2022 tour kicks off March 24th at First Avenue in Minneapolis and runs through a May 8th date at the House of Blues in San Diego. PlayStation owners will now get to test out the alpha version of Call of Duty: Vanguard this weekend completely for free.
