Wizkid announces release date for Made in Lagos deluxe version

Wizkid has revealed that the deluxe edition of his latest album, Made in Lagos, will be released. Big Wiz announced today, August 13th, 2021, on his Twitter profile that his hugely successful “Made in Lagos” album will have a deluxe version. Musician sells rights to deepfake her voice using NFTs

American musician and composer Holly Herndon seems to be capitalizing on the principle of deep-fake technology by allowing fans to use a digital version of herself to create original artwork they can then sell. According to a Thursday announcement from Herndon on Twitter, users who want to make their own deepfakes using the musician’s unique voice and image will have the opportunity to sell their minted creations using nonfungible token, or NFT, marketplace Zora. Herndon said fans can submit their digital copies to be approved by the project’s DAO and would receive 50% of any auction profits. Live Nation Entertainment, one of the country’s largest concert and ticketing companies, will require all artists and concertgoers to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test starting in early October, the company announced Friday (August 13). “Vaccines are going to be your ticket back to shows, and as of October 4th we will be following the model we developed for Lollapalooza and requiring this for artists, fans and employees at Live Nation venues and festivals everywhere possible in the US,” Live Nation Entertainment president and CEO Michael Rapino said in a statement. A Texas federal magistrate judge has told a federal district court that NICKELBACK must face a copyright lawsuit claiming the rock band ripped off its 2005 hit song “Rockstar” from an earlier track called “Rock Star”. Live Nation is amending its COVID-19 safety protocols amidst the surging Delta variant. Steve “Zumbi” Gaines, a co-founding member of the Bay Area hip-hop group Zion I, has died at the age of 47 due to complications from COVID-19.
