Machine Gun Kelly has released the music video for “Papercuts,” which appears on his upcoming album Born With Horns. The Cole Bennett-directed video showcases an eccentrical rockstar outlook on Los Angeles. The video opens in black and white with Machine Gun Kelly riding a motorcycle with a pair of gigantic horns attached to it. The rock-adjacent rapper also debuted his new clean-shaven head (it’s a wig-cap). In the segment, he strums a jet-black guitar while being surrounded by four walls of paper with unknown words on them as he sings, “Bleach my hair, mess it up/Take my life, dress it up/Signed a deal, I got papercuts/They wanted them, but they got us.” Right after the first verse ends an electric guitar comes in and Machine Gun Kelly pushes the walls away in a telepathic motion, while ...

Over in Japan, Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable games resold by collectors have seen a major spike in price recently. As per an article on Livedoor News, the jump in pricing is due to the perception of the two software games being considered as retro items despite both handhelds being released back in 2004. Particular third-party games have been marked with a higher value for resale, while games straight from Nintendo and Sony aren’t as competitive due to a large release of first-party hits. “Gal” games which allow players to interact with pretty girls as well as those with titles that are hard to come by due to initial lack of interest and production have been recently sought after by collectors as well as games that are Japanese text-heavy and created for the local market. It wasn’t long ago when kids would use cereal boxes to build imaginary cardboard worlds or play word puzzles. Now, these boxes have the capabilities of a gadget from a Spy Kids film. The General Mills brand has revealed three limited edition Reese’s Puffs cereal boxes that can be used to make music via a new web-based, augmented reality app. The only equipment—or shall we say ingredients—needed to create a tasty beat are the box, the cereal, and the app. Creators are able to utilize a Crunchy Drum Machine, Creamy Lead Synth, and Chocolatey Bass Synth to make beats. “As a kid I was obsessed with reading the back of cereal boxes,” said Josh Fell, partner and chief creative officer of Anomaly LA, in a statement. “Word search? Searched. Maze? Solved...
As August continues on, many artists have begun to prepare for the return of fall and, more specifically, Halloween festivities. None more so than CHVRCHES, who recently traded remixes with one of horror’s most iconic figures, John Carpenter, the director of legendary films such as Halloween and The Thing. In addition to directing some of the most influential horror movies of all-time, Carpenter is also widely regarded as one of the most impactful composers in the genre and has scored many of his own classics. Together, CHVRCHES and Carpenter created their own spins of one track from each of their respective catalogs. CHVRCHES decided to enter the realm of terrors and give Carpenter’s “Turning The Bones” a retrofuturistic spin. While no vocals are pre...

Earlier in the year, Ozzy revealed that he was working on a new LP with producer Andrew Watt, who previously helmed the legendary BLACK SABBATH singer’s 12th solo effort, last year’s “Ordinary Man”. Wylde, who didn’t appear on “Ordinary Man”, told Classic Rock that he wasn’t disappointed to be excluded from the effort. “Not at all,” he said. “I thought he and Andrew Watt did a great job.
