Machine Gun Kelly Enters the Freak Show In Cole Bennett-Directed ‘Papercuts’ Clip: Watch
It’s a strange ride in the fast lane, a metaphor for the trappings of fame, as Kelly comes in for some punishment and parties with an assortment of colorful freaks, clowns and what appears to be a Klingon. The pop-punk number is lifted from MGK’s forthcoming sixth studio album, Born With Horns, on which Travis Barker returns as executive producer. It’s the followup to Tickets To My Downfall, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 last October, for MGK’s first leader. Two Sony Music Execs Exit Amid Workplace Culture Probe
The pair leave some two months after the launch of an independent investigation into the Sydney-based company’s workplace culture, a development broken by The Sydney Morning Herald’s Nathanael Cooper. As previously reported, Sony Music veteran Denis Handlin left in June, after more than 51 years with the company, and 36 years the helm of the domestic business. “It is time for a change in leadership,” wrote Sony Music Entertainment CEO Rob Stringer in a memo to staff at the time. “And I will be making further announcements in terms of the new direction of our business in Australia and New Zealand in due course.” It remains unclear who is guiding the company at present, or how Sony Music is progressing with the recruitment process for a new leader. The first track, which was released Thursday (Aug. 12), is “Can’t Let Go,” originally recorded by Lucinda Williams. RLJE Films has released the official trailer for Sion Sono’s Prisoner of the Ghostland, a neo-noir western film starring Nicolas Cage. Sono’s upcoming title sees Cage as a ruthless bank robber only known as “Hero.” He is sprung from jail by a wealthy warlord known as The Governor (Bill Moseley), who asks Hero to find and rescue his adopted granddaughter, Bernice (Sofia Boutella).
