Martin Garrix is back with his latest hit-in-waiting, a massive collaboration with Sasha Alex Sloan and G-Eazy called “Love Runs Out.” Longtime Garrix admirers may be dismayed at the absence of progressive house elements here, but fans of the Dutch superstar’s electronic-pop sensibilities will be thrilled. “Love Runs Out” is a scintillating hip-pop anthem with enough horsepower in its liner notes to propel it to the top of the Dance charts in little time. ‘”I’ve known [G-Eazy] since forever, so it was about time for us to release a song together,” said Garrix, who also gushed about Sloan’s “amazing voice.” Check out the official “Love Runs Out” visualizer below and find the ...

After a slow start to the year, Party Favor is ready to embark on a new phase of his musical journey. Today he’s released a statement single called “Save Me,” out via Ultra Music.  Though Party Favor has shown immense growth in each of his releases since his breakout single “Bap U,” “Save Me” feels like the biggest step forward he’s taken yet. Champagne Drip Drops Mind-Melting EP “Champagne Trip”

Melodic bass star Champagne Drip is looking to keep the ball rolling in 2021 with his brand new Champagne Trip EP, released today by Wakaan. Although Champagne Drip is known for his otherworldly production, Champagne Trip is his heaviest collection of tunes yet. His unique sound is embodied beautifully throughout, though only the first single “In My Dreamz” features his usual mind-melting soundscapes. The rest of the record embraces a relentless sound with a dose of heavy, bone-shattering bass. “Acid Drop” is particularly ruthless, opening with ominous synths that quickly devolve into an immaculately wobbly drop. “Initiate” brings similar energy, but it isn’t quite as devastating. Its fluttery elements complement the hard-h...

EXODUS’s STEVE ‘ZETRO’ SOUZA Recalls Buying Drugs From LEMMY Nearly 30 Years Ago

During an appearance on Zetro’s Toxic Vault, the YouTube channel of EXODUS frontman Steve “Zetro” Souza, former MACHINE HEAD drummer Chris Kontos and Zetro recalled Chris‘s brief stint as the drummer for EXODUS when the San Francisco Bay area thrash act opened for MOTÖRHEAD for two shows in Argentina in 1993. Speaking about the backstage shenanigans that took place during the short tour, Zetro said: “Me and Rick [Hunolt, then-EXODUS guitarist] bought crank [Editor’s note: slang term for methamphetamine] off of [MOTÖRHEAD mainman] Lemmy… We were at the venue ’cause we had the soundcheck. And you guys went back. But me and Rick stayed there, and Lemmy was in his dressing room. We knew he had crank. And Rick goes, ‘Let’s ask Lemmy for some...

Report: LIVE NATION To Require Vaccination Or Proof Of Negative Test Result For U.S. Concerts

Live Nation will require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test for entry to its concerts, according to an internal memo obtained by Variety. The document, which was signed by Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino, states that Live Nation will be adopting the same practices that have already been implemented “successfully at many major shows, including Lollapalooza.” “Our teams have worked together to put new processes in place so that artists doing shows with Live Nation in the US can require all attendees and staff to be fully vaccinated or show a negative test result for entry, where permitted by law,” Rapino said. “We believe this is a great model”. The people attending Lollapalooza last month at Chicago’s Grant Park were required to show pr...

Sorry, But Jake Gyllenhaal Also Doesn’t Shower Often

Jake Gyllenhaal has recently been selected as the face of Prada’s new fragrance, Luna Rossa Ocean. Hopefully, he’s stocking up on a few bottles, because — and we hate to be the ones to break this to you — the A-list actor is admittedly lax about his shower schedule. Not long after Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Dax Shepard, and Kristen Bell all divulged their slightly irregular bathing routines, the Brokeback Mountain star has also revealed some compromising details about his own hygiene in a new interview with Vanity Fair. “More and more I find bathing to be less necessary, at times,” Gyllenhaal said. “I do believe, because Elvis Costello is wonderful, that good manners and bad breath get you nowhere. So I do that. But I do also think that there’s a whole world of not bathing that is also re...

CHVRCHES and John Carpenter Remix Each Other on “Good Girls” and “Turning the Bones”: Stream

CHVRCHES and John Carpenter head into the weekend with a pair of special surprises for fans: the pop trio and composer decided to swap tracks and give each other’s work a remix. For his part, The Horror Master delivered a new take on CHVRCHES’ “Good Girls,” giving the latest single off the band’s upcoming Screen Violence a menacingly spooky vibe by replacing the original’s electro-synth sonics with a haunting organ pulse. “Killin’ your idols is a chore/ And it’s such a f–king bore/ Cause I don’t need them anymore/ So maybe if you just got some guts/ We kill ’em with a thousand cuts/ And say we did it out of love,” Lauren Mayberry sings on the opening verse over Carpenter’s arrangement. Meanwhile, CHVRCHES chose to re-work the Halloween director’s “Turning the Bones,” an album cut from his ...

CNN Fires Three Employees For Not Being Vaccinated

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Bloomberg / Getty Oh y’all thought employers were playing with their new vaccination policies in the workplace? CNN surely wasn’t and now a few of their former employees are looking for a new gig. The New York Times is reporting that Donald Trump’s “favorite” media network fired three employees for showing up to work without having been vaccinated and potentially exposing their peers to The Rona while being there. While it seems a bit harsh on it’s surface, CNN did inform their employees that vaccinations would be required for anyone returning to work at the office, but instead of requiring vaccine cards to enter the building, CNN went off an honor system in hopes that people would keep it 100 when returning to work. Three did not and were apparently oute...
