Nas Gives Fans a First Look at ‘King’s Disease II’ With Preview of New Single “Rare”

Nas took to Instagram to preview his next single “Rare” off of his upcoming fourteenth studio album King’s Disease II. The brief audio snippet came with a monochrome visual that scans around a crowd of men decked out in suits. Nas wrote in the caption that the track will premiere tomorrow on YouTube at midnight. “Rare” is the fifth song of 15 total on the LP’s tracklist, which Nas shared on social media yesterday, featuring collaborations with Eminem, YG, Lauryn Hill, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and more. Surprisingly, long-time rappers Nas and Eminem have never spit bars on the same track. “We are FINALLY getting an Eminem and Nas collab this week… 20+ years in the making,” one fan wrote on Twitter. GENE SIMMONS Joins Forces With Las Vegas Gallery To Introduce His Never-Before-Seen Art

KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons has joined forces with Nicholas Leone of Animazing Gallery at Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas for the debut of Gene Simmons ArtWorks October 14 through 16. The gallery showing will include a broad variety of artwork by Simmons — from sketches and drawings to small and large format paintings. “Moving to the United States from Israel as a young boy, I didn’t speak English,” said Simmons. “I fell in love with comics and American television, and they not only helped me learn the language, but inspired creativity and a passion for drawing and painting.” Simmons, a serial entrepreneur who is recognized as much for his off-stage business and creative prowess as he is as for his bold onstage performances with ...

FATES WARNING Guitarist JIM MATHEOS’s TUESDAY THE SKY: ‘The Blurred Horizon’ Music Video

On September 3, TUESDAY THE SKY will release its new album, “The Blurred Horizon”, via Metal Blade Records. The official music video for the disc’s title track can be seen below. TUESDAY THE SKY‘s origins could almost be considered accidental. Guitarist Jim Matheos, famed for his work with progressive metal giants FATES WARNING alongside projects such as OSI and his collaboration with John Arch, ARCH/MATHEOS, penned a few songs that did not fit in with any of his established outlets, and intrigued by this, decided to write more and see where this took him. The result was 2017’s “Drift”, a record that drew influence from the likes of Brian Eno, SIGUR ROS, BOARDS OF CANADA and EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY, and now he returns with its successor, “The B...

AL JOURGENSEN Says New MINISTRY Album ‘Makes A Lot Of Sense For The Times That We’re Living In’

Industrial metal pioneers MINISTRY will release their 15th studio album, “Moral Hygiene”, on October 1 via Nuclear Blast Records. The 10-track follow-up to 2018’s “AmeriKKKant” was recently described in a press release as frontman Al Jourgensen‘s “societal manifesto and plea for civilization to get back to a set of standards that lives up to and embraces our humanity.” In a new interview with Australia’s Heavy, Jourgensen stated about the new LP’s musical direction: “Same old stuff. Just a progression of the MINISTRY sound that’s been refined for the last 30 [or] 40 years. And I think we hit a good one this time. There’s a couple that I wish I could have back, and there’s a couple that I’m really gung...

DESTRUCTION’s SCHMIER Says Founding Guitarist MIKE SIFRINGER Has ‘Disconnected From The Band’

DESTRUCTION frontman Schmier says that the band’s founding guitarist Michael “Mike” Sifringer has “disconnected” from the rest of the group and is not featured on DESTRUCTION‘s just-completed new studio album. Schmier addressed Sifringer‘s status with DESTRUCTION just a couple of weeks after the band performed without Mike at the Area 53 Festival in Leoben, Austria. Asked in a new interview with Metal Pilgrim to clarify where Sifringer stands with regard to DESTRUCTION, Schmier said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “I would like to know myself too. It’s a very difficult question because he disconnected from the band some months ago already. It means we went to the studio and recorded a new album, and he just didn’t come. We d...

Siesta Key‘s Madisson Hausburg Is Pregnant With First Child

Madisson Hausburg once told her now-fiancé Ish Soto that she has “always known” she wanted to be a mom. And now, this “biggest dream” is real life: The Siesta Key couple is expecting their first child! “Mom and Dad January 1 2022,” Madisson captioned the album above. New year, new baby! “We are so excited! I love you so much!!! You’re going to be the best mom!!!” Ish wrote along with the photograph above. The future parents met during Season 1 of the series when he was a producer on the MTV show. They shared their romance on the Season 3 premiere to quite the reaction — with a side of “freaking out” (courtesy of Chloe). The lovebirds eventually decided to move to his home base of Los Angeles and, shortly after this cross-cou...

Pink Siifu’s GUMBO! Is Good for the Soul

Pink Siifu’s latest release, GUMBO!, is another sprawling Afrocentric vision from one of the boldest voices in contemporary rap. Take a Chill Adventure in a Bug-Sized Mech With Stonefly

Anyone who’s delved into any of Flight School Studio’s games already knows that there’s really nothing else like them. Titles like Creature in the Well and Manifest 99 are the kind of weird little indie adventures that a larger studio wouldn’t dare to touch. Their most recent release, Stonefly, is their biggest and most robust game yet, but it’s certainly not any less strange. It combines surprisingly strategic combat, customizable mechs, a Pixar-like visual and narrative appeal, and a supremely relaxing atmosphere, all scaled down to the size of insects. Will it appeal to everyone or compete with the biggest names in the industry? Almost certainly not, but that’s not what Creative Director Adam Volker and Game Director Bohdon Sayre are after. The Flight School Studio team wants to put for...

Billie Eilish Delivers an Inviting Live Performance for “Male Fantasy”

Fresh off the release of her second studio album, Happier Than Ever, Billie Eilish just released an inviting live performance for “Male Fantasy.” The soft and somber song appears as the concluding track on her recent album, which has been met with widespread praise. In the video, Eilish sits on a cream-colored satin bed with a gold padded comforter. Covered in a casual outfit, her voice’s famous whisper cadence flows into a black microphone, filling the amber-colored vintage hotel room surrounding her. On the other side of the room is her brother Finneas, who strums a white acoustic guitar while sitting on top of an ivory dresser. The performance was shot on 35mm film, offering a smooth-grained overlay. The song deals with loneliness after a break-up. But what’s more powerful is the song’s...

Tom Morello Enlists Eddie Vedder, Bruce Springsteen for ‘Highway to Hell’ Cover

The past few days have seen Tom Morello teasing new music on the way. On Wednesday morning, the Rage Against the Machine guitarist unveiled a new bit of older music — a thunderous cover of AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell” with Bruce Springsteen and Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder Fun fact: the trio previously performed the song together several times in 2014 during Springsteen’s Australian tour. The single comes from Morello’s forthcoming Atlas Underground album called The Atlas Underground Fire. The collection follows the 2018 rendition, The Atlas Underground. “Our version of ‘Highway To Hell’ pays homage to AC/DC but with Bruce Springsteen and Eddie Vedder, brings this legendary song into the future. One of the greatest rock’n’roll songs of all time sung by two of the greatest rock’n’roll singers of a...

Jason Momoa Is Campaigning for the Release of the Full Length Director’s Cut of ‘Dune’

Jason Momoa is officially vying for the release of a full-length director’s cut of the upcoming sci-fi film Dune. The film, which is based on the first half of Frank Herbert’s 1965 novel of the same name stars Jason Momoa alongside Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgard, Charlotte Rampling, Oscar Isaac, Javier Bardem, Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet. In a recent interview with The New York Times, he said, “It was a cool movie. You know what they need to do? They need to make the four-to-six-hour version of the first half. It’s like, ‘Let’s watch the four-to-five-hour movie like a TV show; I can choose when I want to watch the whole thing.’ I want to see Denis’s whole vision. I don’t want it to be trimmed.” There is currently no word on how long the actual final cut will be, but the upcoming film wil...
