The song is accompanied by a music video featuring animation by Alexis Jamet and Logan Triplett. Glow On will arrive on August 27th, and was preceded by the recent Turnstile Love Connection EP. Whoa, Charlie. In a new interview this week, Lucy Liu looked back on her infamous argument with Bill Murray on the set of 2000’s Charlie’s Angels. Appearing on the Los Angeles Times’ Asian Enough podcast, the actress recounted the altercation, which she explained stemmed from Murray being unaware that the scene being filmed had been altered. According to Liu’s memory of the event, the actor’s ire ended up being directed at her, with the argument eventually becoming what the star called a “one-on-one communication.” “I won’t get into the specifics,” she said, “but it kept going on and on. I was, like, ‘Wow, he seems like he’s looking straight at me.’” Advertisement Related Video Once Murray’s language and attitude toward her became, as she recalled, “inexcusable and unacceptable,” Liu...
If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em. That classic piece of advice is so accurate that apparently not even major Hollywood studios are too good to follow it. Case in point: Lucasfilm just hired Shamook, the digital artist responsible for several Star Wars deepfakes that went viral on YouTube for being significantly more believable than the studio’s own CGI efforts. The two videos that most likely caught Lucasfilm’s attention are deepfakes of Luke Skywalker in The Mandalorian and of Tarkin and Princess Leia in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The former is just shy of 3 million views in under six months, making it Shamook’s second most popular video behind the one with Harrison Ford in Solo: A Star Wars Story. The Rogue One edits are the most noticeably improved by Shamook’s work, as they rid Tarki...
Flag Day, a new drama film directed by Sean Penn, just got its first trailer and it features an unexpected music cameo. Singing atop the clip is Olivia Vedder, the daughter of Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder, with a song called “My Father’s Daughter.” Check it out below. Written by Glen Hansard and Eddie Vedder, “My Father’s Daughter” is a moving number about watching yourself grow into your parents’ traits, whether you wanted to or not. Luckily for Olivia Vedder, that includes being gifted a natural music talent from her dad which she displays in full force on the track. Over slow drumming and stripped-down guitar work, she goes right for the heart strings while violins mellow out the gentle song. Flag Day stars Sean Penn and his daughter Dylan Penn alongside Josh Brolin, Norbert Leo Butz...

More than 800 employees from Activision Blizzard have come together to issue an open letter to the developer’s leadership team expressing outrage and calling for immediate rectification. Last week, California’s Department of Fair Employment and Housing filed a lawsuit against the gaming giant over alleged sexual harassment and gender discrimination, claiming that the studio had fostered a “frat house” work environment that encouraged toxic behavior. In response, Activision Blizzard dismissed the allegations as “reprehensible” and “distorted,” a reaction that has now caused widespread outrage among its employees. In a letter addressed to the company’s leadership that was subsequently obtained by Polygon, a group of more than 800 staff called Activision Blizzard’s response “abhorrent an...
Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are making headlines, but this time it is not related to blockchain. Appearing on Dax Shepard and Monica Padman’s Armchair Expert podcast, the two revealed some details on their family’s skincare regimen. Reinforcing the idea that people should not be washing the natural oils off their skin every day, Kunis informed the host that as she did not have hot water growing up, the idea of not showering each day was normal to her. It was shortly after this when Kutcher commented on his children with, “Now here’s the thing, if you can see the dirt on them, clean them. Otherwise, there’s no point. I wash my armpits and my crotch daily, and nothing else ever. I got a bar of Lever 2000 that delivers every time. Nothing else.” And with this bit of info from the celebrity ...
It turns out that the rumor that was floating around regarding the end of PBS‘ Arthur is true. Renewing the show for four seasons back in 2018, PBS will be ending the PBS Kids show at its 25th season and 240th episode. Debuted in 1996, Arthur is the longest-running children’s animated series in American history, and fans that grew up watching the show have just one season left until they have to say goodbye to characters Arthur Read, Binky Barnes, Muffy Crosswire, D.W, Francine, Buster, Prunella, and Mr. Ratburn. The news was confirmed in an interview with screenwriter Kathy Waugh where she revealed, “Arthur is no longer in production. We had our wrap party two years ago. I think [PBS] made a mistake, and I think Arthur should come back and I know I’m not alone in thinking they made a mist...
Back in November last year, a new installment of Predator was confirmed with 10 Cloverfield Lane director Dan Trachtenberg at the helm. Now, almost 9 months later there’s finally more information regarding the new sequel. According to reports, Trachtenberg will be revisiting elements of the original Arnold Schwarzenegger-starring film from 1987, exploring what producer John Davis calls “the ingenuity of a human being who won’t give up, who’s able to observe and interpret, basically being able to beat a stronger, more powerful, well-armed force.” The plot itself will follow the first Predator to ever set foot on Earth, revealing an origin story that has yet to be told over the past four decades. Producer John Fox also hinted that the film could be somewhat of a period piece, ...
Marvel season is upon us and Ant-Man 3 director Peyton Reed is chiming in to tease fans about the production start of Ant-Man 3. Although Ant-Man and the Wasp previously received higher reviews and box office numbers than any of its predecessors, Marvel was focusing on Avengers: Endgame at the time which slowed down the development of the third film. As Comic-Con@Home comes to...
According to TMZ, neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to be factors in the sudden death of METAL CHURCH frontman Mike Howe. Dee Snider has blasted the BLABBERMOUTH.NET commenters as “pathetic troll losers,” saying that they served as the inspiration for his new song “Open Season”. The TWISTED SISTER frontman made the comments after BLABBERMOUT.NET published an excerpt from his interview with “The MetalSucks Podcast” in which he weighed in on the David Ellefson sex video scandal, expressing his bewilderment over the fact that “the art” was “being dismissed, thrown out, devalued and disqualified because the artist turned out to be a fallible human being.” After one of Dee‘s Twitter followers wrote that the comments below the Ellefson article “hurt my head,” Snider responded: “Blabbermouth is great to me, but their trolls are the b...
