Camp Cope’s Georgia Maq Goes Pop with New Song “Someone Stranger”: Stream

Though Georgia Maq might be known as the ferocious vocalist of Aussie emo-punks Camp Cope, her solo debut, 2019’s Pleaser, swapped out her band’s scrappy DIY feel for polished synths and softer vocals. Today, Maq has released her latest single “Someone Stranger,” which sees her delving even further into full-fledged pop. With production handled by Melbourne electronic musician Alice Ivy, “Someone Stranger” is Maq’s shot at a true banger, sounding tailor-made for pop radio and foggy dance floors. The lyrics meditate on loneliness, and the role that dancing and nights out play in human connection. She channels Robyn with her arena-sized hooks: “I wander the halls of the nightclub/ And I’ll dance without anyone/ Touch my body, I feel something,” she sings, before a massive beat drop take...

The Cupertino, California, company earned $21.7 billion, or $1.30 per share, nearly doubling profits earned during the same period last year. Revenue surged 36% to $81.4 billion. But in a Tuesday conference call with analysts, Apple CEO Tim Cook lamented that the steadily spreading delta variant of the coronavirus is casting doubt on how the rest of the year will unfold. “The road to recovery will be a winding one,” Coo...

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis Admit to Rarely Bathing Themselves Or Their Kids

When you and your spouse are both A-list Hollywood actors, you can afford to pay people to do most anything for you. Bathing, unfortunately, typically has to be handled on one’s own, and Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis apparently can’t be bothered to spend a chunk of each day in the shower. In a recent interview on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, the That ‘70s Show stars turned real-life celebrity couple divulged the dirty truth about their family’s bathing schedules. When it comes to daily bathing, Kutcher and Kunis stick to only washing more imperative body parts like armpits and crotches. Full-body showers are reserved for only the smelliest circumstances — if ever. As for two their kids, six-year-old Wyatt and four-year-old Dimitri, Kutcher and Kunis only intervene when a bath is ...

Leave A Scar – DEE SNIDER

RATING: 8.5/10 Three undeniably brutal years on from his magnificent comeback record “For The Love Of Metal”, we need Dee Snider more than ever. In fact, it still feels as though an insufficient amount of fuss has been made about the return of the legendary TWISTED SISTER frontman, not to mention Jamey Jasta‘s admirable and integral part in lighting a fire under his seemingly ageless backside. Not just one of the greatest heavy metal voices ever, but an invigorating force of nature who continues to talk a great deal more sense than most ageing rock stars, Dee should definitely have been making records like “Leave A Scar” two decades ago. Thankfully, he now sounds fully in the groove, reveling in every moment and genuinely thrilled to be doing what he does best...
