In fact, it still feels as though an insufficient amount of fuss has been made about the return of the legendary TWISTED SISTER frontman, not to mention Jamey Jasta‘s admirable and integral part in lighting a fire under his seemingly ageless backside. Not just one of the greatest heavy metal voices ever, but an invigorating force of nature who continues to talk a great deal more sense than most ageing rock stars, Dee should definitely have been making records like “Leave A Scar” two decades ago. POISON drummer Rikki Rockett says that he is still cancer free, six years after he was diagnosed with oral cancer. Rockett offered an update on his health status via his social media on Monday (July 26). He shared a photo of him with his longtime girlfriend TC Smith, and wrote in an accompanying message: “Six years ago I was diagnosed with base of tongue cancer with associated lymph nodes, squamous cell carcinoma from HPV. I did standard of care. Chemo and radiation. I waited the 3 months to see if it worked… it didn’t. I now had a 10% chance of beating it. “A few weeks later I went on an experimental clinical trial at Moores Cancer Center under the care of Dr. Ezra Cohen. MAMMOTH WVH, the solo project of Wolfgang Van Halen, played its first-ever concert last night (Tuesday, July 27) at Bottleneck in Lawrence, Kansas. Wizkid is set to perform at the O2 for a one-off show in London this Fall. The Grammy award-winning Nigerian artist recently took to Twitter to announce the ticket sale for the show, marking the first U.K. show of the Made in Lagos tour. The 02 Arena performance follows his American tour dates which are set to occur between September and October 2021. Earlier this April, Wizkid launched the music video for his song “Essence” with Nigerian singer-songwriter Tems. The track can be heard on the Made in Lagos mixtape which features other prominent artists like Skepta and Damian Marley. Slipknot co-founder and ex-drummer Joey Jordison has died at age 46. “We are heartbroken to share the news that Joey Jordison, prolific drummer, musician and artist passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 26th, 2021,” reads a statement from his family on Tuesday. “Joey’s death has left us with empty hearts and feelings of indescribable sorrow. To those that knew Joey, understood his quick wit, his gentle personality, giant heart and his love for all things family and music. The U.S. government has sold the unreleased, one-off Wu-Tang Clan album purchased by Martin Shkreli in 2015, according to a press release by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). Shkreli reportedly acquired the album in 2015 for $2 million USD. A former pharmaceutical executive, he gained widespread media condemnation for hiking up the price of a critical medication by 5,000 percent. In 2018, he was sentenced to seven years in prison for fraud and was required to forfeit approximately $7.4 million USD in assets. On Monday, the DOJ said that it had sold Once Upon a Time in Shaolin in connection to his sentencing and that proceeds from the sale would be applied to the judgment against him.
