Lollapalooza announced today that it has partnered with Hulu to livestream this year’s festival. It’s the first time the long-running Chicago event has teamed with the Disney-owned streaming service. According to a report from Billboard, subscribers to the streaming platform will have access to all four days of the 2021 festival, which is set to take place July 29th through August 1st at Chicago’s Grant Park. The livestream will be accessible each day from 11:00 a.m. PT to 8:00 p.m. PT. “We are thrilled to be partnering for the first time with Hulu for this year’s livestream and are excited that the Lollapalooza fans who cannot be with us in Chicago have such a great platform to experience the show,” read a statement from Courtney Trucksess, sponsorship director for the festival’s promotor...
Ariana Grande switched and live mixed “Positions” for her sixth and final Vevo live performance on Thursday (July 22). She kicked off the sultry display by expertly layering her vocal harmonies, as previously heard in a behind-the-scenes clip from the recording of the song, before repeating the pre-chorus, “I’m tryna meet your mama on a Sunday/ Then make a lotta love on a Monday.” The delicate guitar plucking of “Positions” cut into Grande’s masterclass of live mixing, ushering the all-too familiar hit the way the Arianators have heard it before — but with some extra pizzazz. Wearing a pink bejeweled two-piece set with black tights, the singer dazzled under the matching pink light glowing around the garden dome, and pranced around the g...
Billboard has reached out to Dre’s and Young’s attorneys for comment. Dre (born Andre Young) and Nicole were married for 24 years until she filed for divorce in June 2020 citing irreconcilable differences. The couple, who married in 1996, have two children together: 23-year-old son Truice and 19-year-old daughter Truly. During the back-and-forth that took place after the announcement of their split, Dre’s attorneys filed a copy of what they said was a prenup signed by the couple in late December 2020, which noted that all the property that they’d acquired since their wedding would be kept separately, but also that Nicole did not waive her right to spousal support. The level of spousal support would become the centerpiece of the yearlong dispute, with the s...
Providing some mystery are the words “vol. 1” tacked on to the title, as they indicate there’s potentially another full album counterpart coming from Combs. The upcoming record will mark his first release since 2015’s MMM, a mixtape project saturated with collaborations from the likes of Lil’ Kim, Future, Travis Scott, Big Sean, Ty Dolla $ign, Wiz Khalifa and more. The new album announcement follows the news of Combs inking a deal with manager Wassim “SAL” Slaiby, who famously represents The Weeknd. Combs will move into his new era in partnership with Slaiby and his comapany SALXCO as well as with WME, with whom he also signed this year. The rapper of many names (P. Diddy, Puff Daddy and Puffy, to name a few) is also a man of many projects. In addi...
Elsewhere, “Money” debuts at No. 4 on the Hot Rap Songs chart and at No. 16 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100. Among the song’s achievements, “Money” is the genre’s top-selling track of the week, with 12,000 downloads sold in the week ending July 15, according to MRC Data, up 1,280% from the prior frame. (For chart purposes, both versions of the song are combined into one title.) The burst powers the song to a No. 1 revival on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart after it spent on week on the list, at No. 21, last month. As BIA nets her first champ on the sales-specific survey, Minaj collects her 13th to tie Eminem for the third-most among all acts. Only Drake (22) and Lil Wayne (14) claim more since the chart’s 2010 founding. Streams, too, explode in the wake of Minaj’s addition....
Almost exactly two months ago, Bill Stevenson and Milo Aukerman of the Descendents joined our Twitch stream for a very special episode of our weekly rock ‘n roll interview show/therapy session, Noise Pollution. Normally, our streams stay on Twitch for the limit of two weeks and then disappear into the ether, but today, we brought back the very special appearance by the punk rock legends ahead of the release of their new album, 9th & Walnut (out July 23 via Epitaph Records). The album, which was recorded in both 2002 and 2020, features 18 of the band’s earliest songs from the late 1970s and is the final recording from late guitarist Frank Navetta as well as a decades-in-the-making reunion with both Navetta and original bassist Tony Lombardo. In the hour-long Twitch stream, Stevenso...

Kelsey and her boyfriend Max are going strong, and the two just marked a big relationship step during tonight’s Siesta Key episode. After an entire year of long-distance love, Max made the move to the Key and became Florida official. While this wasn’t Kelsey’s first out-of-state dating rodeo (y’all may recall Jacob from Arizona circa Season 2), tonight’s episode saw her elated to be reunited with her beau, who’ll be crashing at her new condo for a few weeks while he gets settled in Sarasota. During a convo with Madisson, Kelsey revealed that Max was initially all about setting up house together — but she wasn’t quite ready. “He obviously was like, ‘I’ll move in, let’s save money!’ But I think it’ll be g...
Leah’s Teen Mom 2 season began with the mother of three telling her twins about the importance of embracing the “fun stuff” that comes with becoming a young woman (i.e. menstrual cycles and breast self-exams). And during the season finale, the mother of three had some “good news” to share regarding her own health. “I didn’t tell you guys, but I had another ultrasound,” Leah told her daughters about the benign lump she had detected in her breast. “And although the tumor had grown, it wasn’t necessarily concerning. So I don’t have to have the surgery.” Ali, Aleeah and Adalynn were happy for their mother and reacted with a unanimous “yay!” Leah added that, “down the road,” she might get a second op...
World-renowned guitarist/songwriter Mark Tremonti will release the fifth album from his solo band TREMONTI, titled “Marching In Time”, on September 24, 2021 via Napalm Records. The official music video for the LP’s first single, “If Not For You”, can be seen below. The clip is a frenetic, high-energy performance video that visually complements the single that will be impacting radio this month. Tremonti is no stranger to storytelling. Throughout his years with top-charting bands ALTER BRIDGE and CREED, and most recently his solo band, Mark has never strayed from his love of writing memorable songs. With “Marching In Time”, the band looks to continue this trend while exploring their love for heavy music, drawing from current events from the last yea...
STAIND frontman Aaron Lewis mistakenly performed the band’s hit song “It’s Been A While” twice during his solo concert last night (Friday, July 21) in Dewey Beach, Delaware. After playing “It’s Been A While” at Bottle & Cork earlier in the set, Lewis revisited the track at a later point, only becoming aware of his error as he was finishing the song for the second time. “You know what I’m realizing right this second? That I’m drunk enough that I should be playing ‘Outside’ right now, and instead I’m playing a fucking song I already played tonight,” he told the crowd. “Which means I might be slightly overserved. So should I play the fucking song that I was supposed to be playing the whole fucking ti...
