Machine Gun Kelly Had a Megan Fox Poster Hanging in His High School Bedroom

MGK says he lived out his teenage “dream” at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards in May, but not just because he took home awards for top rock artist and top rock album with his Billboard 200-topping LP Tickets to My Downfall. It’s because of who he had on his arm. “You know what the dream was? It was exactly what happened to me [this weekend], which was go to an awards show, shut down the carpet, go onstage, accept an award,” he told Lowery shortly after the awards show. “It has nothing to do with the award. I saw a British GQ article that came out this morning that basically was like, ‘Despite the fact that BTS was there, The Weeknd was there, Drake was there, the talk of the show was [us].’ That overzealous, overconfident 15-year-old...

Earlier this week, the former Fifth Harmony member archived all her Instagram posts except a short video from February of her sunbathing in a gold bikini, captioned “know it’s been awhile.” There was suspicion that the song playing in the background is a snippet of “Wild Side.” As a result of the major announcement of the upcom...

New Tom Petty Video Features the Venus de Milo in Joshua Tree

In 1996, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers provided the soundtrack for the John Mahoney and Jennifer Anniston-starring rom-com, She’s the One. But in Saturday Night Fever-fashion, the film was instantly dwarfed by the songs — many of which came from the prolific period when Petty was recording his solo folk-rock masterpiece, Wildflowers, with producer Rick Rubin. Petty intended to make Wildflowers a double album, but the label pushed back, sending many of those would-be wildflowers into the vault or onto his next project — She’s the One. “If part of the pitch was double albums are twice as expensive for the fans to buy, I could see Tom not wanting his music priced beyond his audience,” Rubin told Rolling Stone in 2020 when Wildflowers was finally re-released as a deluxe edition. “He always k...

21 Savage and Metro Boomin Make It Big on the Stock Market in ‘Brand New Draco’ Music Video

21 Savage and Metro Boomin have dropped the official music video for “Brand New Draco.” The track comes off the duo’s 2020 collaborative album Savage Mode II, a follow-up to the 2016 homonymous extended play. Directed by Leff of Silver Spoon Film, the visual sees Boomin punch numbers on a calculator as Savage raps from behind a desk in a Wolf of Wall Street-esque montage. While the video is set amidst a stock market crash, the duo claims to have paved the easy path to creating wealth: in the middle of the song, a mock infomercial for a stock called $DRCO rolls, in which DJ Khaled, Shaq and Bow Wow make appearances, raving about how investing changed their lives. This fall, 21 Savage will hit the road on J. Cole’s The Off-Season Tour, along with special guest Morray, to perform in ...
