Laura Jane Grace is playing a gig at Four Seasons Total Landscaping. Yes, that Four Seasons Total Landscaping. The Against Me! vocalist will perform songs from her 2020 album, Stay Alive, at the Philadelphia landscaping center where Rudy Giuliani infamously hosted a press conference last November. This much cooler event is going down on Saturday, August 21st, and it’s open to all ages. Grace will be joined by Brendan Kelly of Chicago punk band The Lawrence Arms. “This will be the first and last time Brendan and I will play in front of a landscaping company and we promise it will be better than that MAGA shit show,” Grace said in a press release. American Horror Stories Gets First Trailer: Watch
For the past decade, Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk have been the leaders of bringing horror to the small screen with their FX series, American Horror Story. With ten seasons and a fervent fan base under their belts, the shows has now expanded to the spinoff anthology series American Horror Stories. Pushed back from its original premiere date last summer, the anthology is at last coming to Hulu on July 15th, and its first trailer is here. Tremonti Announces New Album Marching in Time
Alter Bridge and Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti has announced the fifth album from his eponymous solo band, Tremonti. The set, titled Marching in Time, will feature 12 original songs and arrive September 24th via Napalm Records. Marching in Time, according to a press release, explores Tremonti’s love for heavy music with themes “drawing from current events from the last year to form the basis of each song.” The result is a record packed with “12 individual journeys” for each track. The album’s title track, “Marching in Time,” sees Tremonti telling the story of a father welcoming a child during a global pandemic, which is something the musician experienced last year. Lorde is set to perform her new single “Solar Power” live for the first time during an appearance on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert next Thursday, July 15th. The New Zealand singer appeared remotely on the Late Show last month to discuss her upcoming album and supporting tour. Earlier this week, she was spotted in New York City with longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff, prompting rumors of an in-person televised performance.
