Marianne Faithfull ‘May Not Be Able to Sing Ever Again’ Because of COVID-19
After being diagnosed, and subsequently hospitalized, with COVID-19 at the beginning of the pandemic, Marianne Faithfull was one of the lucky ones who was eventually discharged. Though she technically recovered, the singer was left with three residual side effects — short-term memory loss, fatigue, and permanent lung damage — which she detailed during a recent interview with The Guardian. “I have to have oxygen and all that stuff. The side-effects are so strange,” she said. “Some people come back from it but they can’t walk or speak. Also, the iconic Hip-Hop producer has already returned to the studio. The N.W.A founder was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. on January 4 from his Pacific Palisades home. Multiple report confirmed he was placed in the ICU as doctors ran tests and tried to figure out what was wrong. According to TMZ, he was finally released on Friday, January 15 and will still be under the watchful eye of medical pros just in case something happens. He was 69. Rolling Stone reports that Duke Bootee, born Edward Fletcher, died on Wednesday, January 13 at his home in Savannah, GA. According to his wife, Rosita, the cause of death was end-stage congestive heart failure.
