Black Coffee & Diplo feat. Elderbrook, “Never Gonna Forget” Frankly, there aren’t enough dance tracks that evoke the steamy feeling of the 1989 Chris Isaak classic “Wicked Game.” South African star Black Coffee and a pair of heavyweight pals are here to amend that with “Never Gonna Forget You,” a spacious house track built on a moody guitar lick Isaak would likely approve of, which sits beneath pretty, delicate layers of percussion and synth. Featuring Grammy-nominated vocalist/producer Elderbrook and Diplo — showing up here in his underground-oriented Higher Ground persona — “Never Gonna Forget” is the final single to drop because the Feb. 5 release of Black Coffee’s forthcoming LP, Subconsciously. According to Ice-T on Twitter, Dr. Dre has officially returned home following his stint in the ICU due to a brain aneurysm. “Update: Just FaceTimed with @drdre He just made it home. Safe and looking good” the rapper and SVU icon tweeted on Friday afternoon. As first reported by TMZ, Dre was first moved out of the ICU on Wednesday, but remained in a private room at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles until he was discharged on Friday. The release comes a full 11 days after the rap legend was first rushed to the hospital with the serious condition, with doctors reportedly being “cautiously optimistic” for a full recovery from the beginning. Perhaps the good news to come out of all of this is that not only did the artist, producer, and Beats founder survive, but we can all be...
Source: Drew Angerer / Getty In just a few days, Donald Trump will be out of the White House. The country will begin healing as President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris takeover, to celebrate there is a playlist full of jams to mark the occasion. When Joe Biden and Kamala Harris each put their hands on a bible and swear to honor and defend the U.S. constitution as the 46th president and vice president of the United States, things will look very different. There won’t be hundreds of thousands of people flooding the National Mall to witness the moment because COVID-19 is still crushing the country. Also, there was that bootleg coup incited by the current lame-duck President Donald Trump last week that now has the entire country on edge and hundreds of national guard t...

Soaring synth elements collide with hard-hitting drums in a fierce display of Nitti Gritti’s unique and flawl...
Since the inception of Dutch DJ Nicky Romero’s Protocol Recordings in 2012, the imprint has blossomed into a multi-faceted brand with its radio show receiving over 40 million listeners every week. For his newest track “Into The Light,” Romero collaborated with Protocol’s very own Timmo Hendriks. The track uplifts and inspires with beautiful piano chords and the crisp vocals of David Shane, who croons about a “paradise you’ll find” if you “step into the light.” After a gradual and heavenly build up, the drop thrusts into a victorious progressive house drop with an upbeat chord melody and potent kicks. The tune truly feels like paradise. Romero has been pumping out impactful, high-quality music for over a decade. His most notable pieces are “I Could Be The One” with Avicii, ...

Nitepunk released “Flow” as his first single on the HARD RECS label just last month, making a splash on the fan-favorite electronic music imprint. The original track showcased a set of inventive breakbeat production skills, proving that Nitepunk has a lot to offer the dance music scene. Last year, Nitepunk remixed Habstrakt‘s “The One” and he was not the only artist to do so, joining the likes of fellow bass heavyweights NGHTMRE, Basstrick, Asdek, Effin, and Unlovable. This year, the roles have been reversed. Habstrakt, the renowned French bass house producer, has decided to give “Flow” his own unique spin. Habstrakt—the french house mainstay artist—has been on a roll as of late, releasing tracks on Never Say Di...

If you were waiting for Rage Against the Machine to collectively chime in with their take on the modern revival of old-fashioned racism (which has always been there, but is far more prevalent in society now than it was five years ago), your day has come. Arguably the most politically charged band of all time has just released a short documentary called Killing in Thy Name in order to serve as “a fire escape from the fiction known as whiteness and a spring for discovery.” Of course, the film utilizes plenty of the band’s “Killing in the Name” as a soundtrack and reference, while the material itself goes into an explanation about how people who now consider themselves “white” have actually come from a wide variety of backgrounds and committed no shortage of atrocities over the cent...
