On Saturday night, Liam Gallagher will present a special concert livestream called “Down by the River Thames”. Set to take place atop a barge floating on the River Thames outside of London, the outdoor event will see the British rocker and his band roll out solo cuts as well as a number of Oasis classics, “some of which you haven’t heard me sing for a long, long time,” he promises. As a preview of this unique setup, Gallagher performed his new holiday single “All You’re Dreaming Of” from atop the barge for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday night. Oasis have no doubt played in various venues and arenas all over the world, but I doubt Gallagher ever saw himself rocking out on such a contraption, socially distanced, and amidst a pandemic. All weird circumstances aside, the...

A month ago, SYSTEM OF A DOWN released “Protect The Land” and “Genocidal Humanoidz”, the band’s first new songs in 15 years. The tracks were motivated by the recently erupted conflict between Artsakh and Azerbaijan, the latter aided by Turkey and accountable for the greatest violence the region has endured in 26 years. Produced by guitarist/vocalist Daron Malakian, who also wrote the music and lyrics, both songs are streaming now on all DSPs and are available for purchase on Bandcamp with band royalties earmarked for the Armenia Fund. COREY TAYLOR: ‘I Get The Benefits Of Fame Without The TMZ S**t’

In a recent interview with “Bertcast” host Bert Kreischer, Corey Taylor spoke what it was like in SLIPKNOT‘s early days when he and his bandmates had avoided being photographed without their masks. “The first couple of years was rad,” he said. “But then the more success we got, obviously, it’s human nature, man — the ego starts to come out. “As much as people think it was the reason I put STONE SOUR back together, it’s not,” he continued, referring to his other band, which he actually started before joining SLIPKNOT. “For me, that was about writing music again, ’cause I just wasn’t being able to write music in SLIPKNOT, ’cause I’m just not that good; I’m not as good as those guys are at intricat...

Eyehategod Detail New Album A History of Nomadic Behavior, Share “High Risk Trigger”: Stream

New Orleans sludge metal vets Eyehategod have detailed their previously announced new album, A History of Nomadic Behavior. The 12-song effort arrives March 12th and marks the band’s first new LP in seven years. Eyehategod have also shared the album’s lead single, the politically charged “High Risk Trigger”. While singer Mike IX Williams says the band rarely touches on politics, the song tackles the subject of police brutality. The rest of the album also has overtones of the socio-political disruption prevalent in modern America. “We’re not a political band, but it was hard not to be affected by the news from the past year,” Williams said in a press release. “During this recording, I thought a lot about how stupid humanity has become and how America is now completely divided with these peo...
