Last night’s highly anticipated bout between retired boxers Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. may have ended in a draw, but there was a winner: Snoop Dogg. The rapper gave commentary during the night’s events, which also included YouTuber Jake Paul versus NBA veteran Nate Robinson, and social media couldn’t get enough. “This shit like two of my uncles fighting at the barbecue,” the rapper quipped during the Tyson-Jones Jr. match, which featured more clutching and hugging than actual punching. “’Meet me in the backyard, I’m tired of this shit.’” He also went full-on gospel during the undercard match. “Oh, my God, Lord have mercy! Oh, Jesus!” Snoop shouted when Paul knocked Robinson to the ground. He then broke into a spiritual hymn as Robinson stumbled around the ring in an attempt to ...

Now, the game and label are teasing a collaboration with one of EDM’s biggest artist’s, Kaskade. On Twitter, both Kaskade and Rocket League shared a teaser video announcing their joint effort. The video shows Kaskade pick up a record emblazoned with the logo from the game and the label “Season 1” before flipping it over to reveal “Season 2” and place it on a turntable. Fans have begun to speculate everything from a new title song for the game to a virtual concert. While the latter hasn’t been ruled out, the former seems more likely as Monstercat rep...

Women ruled the 2021 Grammy nominations list that was unveiled on Tuesday, but there was a name noticeably missing: Halsey. After spending a few days to ruminate on yet another snub, the pop star took to Instagram stories to get some things off her chest. “I’ve been thinking and wanted to choose my words carefully because a lot of people have extended sympathy and apology to me since the Grammy nominations,” she wrote. “The Grammys are an elusive process. It can often be about behind the scenes private performances, knowing the right people, campaigning through the grapevine, with the right handshake and ‘bribes’ that can be just ambiguous enough to pass as ‘not bribes.’” If artists were able to manage any of these political tactics, Halsey also suggested having to commit “...

The 26-year-old pop star’s exclusion from the 2021 Grammy nominations came as a surprise to many, given that her recent album, Manic, featured the hit song “Without Me,” which reached No. 1 on the Hot 100. To date, the singer has not been nominated in a Big Four (album of the year, record of the year, song of the year and best new artist) category at the Grammys. “The Grammys are an elusive process,” Halsey continued in her post. “It can often be about behind the scenes private performances, knowing the right people, campaigning through the grapevine, with the right handshake and ‘bribes’ that can be just ambiguous enough to pass as ‘not bribes.'” She added that many politics go into receiving a Grammy nomination, including “...
In addition to their public apology, the team behind the new Saved by the Bell said they have been in touch with Gomez’s representatives and plan to make a donation to The Selena Gomez Fund for Lupus Research at USC. In the sixth episode of the reboot, which premiered last week, two students at Bayside High argue over who donated a kidney to Gomez in 2017 after she had been diagnosed with lupus years earlier. “I know for a fact that Selena Gomez’s kidney donor was Justin Bieber‘s mom. God, I wish that I had my phone so that I could prove it,” one character says. The other student replies, “Prove what? That you’re an idiot? It was Demi Lovato‘s kidney. They’re best friends, like you and I were.” In a later scene, the words “Does Selena Gomez even have a kidney?”...
More than a year ago, Marilyn Manson announced that he would be acting in CBS All Access’ miniseries adaptation of Stephen King’s The Stand. With just a few weeks to go before its December 17th premiere, the show’s director, Josh Boone, has revealed that the shock rocker’s role has been cut from the limited TV series. While Manson’s particular role was never formally unveiled by the series’ creators, it was assumed by many that he would play the pyromaniac Trashcan Man from the 1978 novel. However, it was recently revealed that actor Ezra Miller would play that role, leading to speculation that Manson had been cut from the series. As it turns out, Manson was set to play The Kid, a character who appeared in an extended version of King’s novel, but not in the original story. As dir...
Dave Prowse, the British actor who portrayed Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy, has died at the age of 85. A former champion weightlifter and bodybuilder, the 6-foot-7 Prowse was asked to audition for the roles of Darth Vader and Chewbacca after Star Wars director George Lucas saw him in A Clockwork Orange, where he played as Frank Alexander’s bodyguard, Julian. Ultimately, Prowse tried out for the role of Darth Vader, because as he explained, “everyone remembers the villain.” Prowse filled Darth Vader’s suit for the first three Star Wars movies, including for legendary scenes such as when Darth Vader threw Emperor Palpatine off the balcony. As Lucas wanted a “darker voice,” the character’s lines were later overdubbed by ones read by James Earl Jones in post-production. Fo...
It didn’t take long for Liam Gallagher to give his new holiday song “All You’re Dreaming Of” its live debut. The day after releasing his festive tune, the singer-songwriter performed it live on The Jonathan Ross Show with a full backing band, including horns. “Considering the year that we’ve all had, I hope this brings back some much-needed love and hope,” the ex-Oasis frontman said in a statement about the track upon its release. “Bing Crosby would have been proud.” Before playing the song, Liam chatted with Ross about the ongoing feud with his brother Noel Gallagher, admitting they’re “both the problem.” “I think we’re both the problem and the problem is that he thinks he’s not the problem,” he said. “He thinks I’m both the problems. Whereas I’m just a problem. I’m h...
