Video of California rockers PAPA ROACH performing the song “Between Angels & Insects” as part of their second live streaming experience iteration called “Infest In-Studio” can be seen below. The program was a special virtually ticketed, live HD broadcast, which took place June 20 from Sacramento, and it featured PAPA ROACH performing its multi-platinum, classic album “Infest”, live in its entirety to celebrate the LP’s 20th anniversary, along with exclusive discussions and reflections in a unique studio environment. “We couldn’t take not performing any longer,” said frontman Jacoby Shaddix. “Having performed the ‘Infest’ album in full as a surprise one time before (during the band’s sold-out 2015 gig at...
RATING: 8.5/10 As discerning metalheads will happily tell you, Russia is becoming increasingly influential in the ever-expanding death metal realm. Check out the likes of TOTAL DESPAIR, WOMBRIPPER and THE OCCULT for convincing and varied evidence. Or just stick this new KATALEPSY album into your ears at maximum volume. When it comes to nailing the sound and spirit of death metal’s modernist wing in 2020, “Terra Mortuus Est” frequently strays close to perfection. The key to this album’s infectious savagery lies in the blurred lines between all-out brutal death, groove-focused slamming death and — most importantly — the warped but fierce musicality of the genre’s old-school contingent. You could spit out of your window and hit at least three bands that play deat...
Brazilian guitarist Kiko Loureiro, who joined MEGADETH in 2015, spoke to France’s Loud TV about his onstage chemistry with his bandmates during the touring cycle for their 2016 album “Dystopia”. He said (see video below): “Dave [Mustaine, MEGADETH guitarist/vocalist] is like an icon; he’s a legend. And [David] Ellefson [bass] as well being there — the two of them, original members of the band. They have this power of the image, the power of the presence, the power of the style — playing and singing. So it’s, in a way, easier for me, and I think I can say the same for Dirk [Verbeuren, drums], that we feel very in a good place, to be where we want to be and deliver also an energetic show playing those amazing songs. We play the ‘Dystopia’ songs...
The rescheduled dates for GUNS N’ ROSES‘ North American stadium tour have been announced. The nearly two-month-long trek, which was scheduled to launch on July 4 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and run through August 26 on Missoula, Montana, was postponed in May due to the coronavirus pandemic which is sweeping the globe. The new tour, which will now take place in July 2021, will only include 13 dates. According to the band, “routing and venue availability issues” have forced the cancelation of six of the shows: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; San Francisco, California; Atlanta, Georgia; Tampa, Florida; Arlington, Texas; and Indianapolis, Indiana. The 2021 concerts kick off July 10 with an appearance at Milwaukee’s Summerfest and wrap up on August 19 at the Banc of Califo...
Source: Jim McIsaac / Getty Kyrie Irving has made no secret that he’s against NBA players returning to the court to finish out the remainder of the season amidst the COVID-19 pandemic that’s claimed the lives of 140,000+ Americans. So when it got out that many women from the WNBA league had decided to continue to shelter in place instead of participating in the season (forfeiting a year’s worth of salary in the process), the Brooklyn Net’s star point guard decided to put his money where his mouth is and is financially helping the women who are sitting out this year’s games. Blavity is reporting that Irving lunched the KAI Empowerment Initiative this past Monday (July 27) and committed $1.5 million of his own money to help take the financial burden off of players who aren’t risking their he...
Source: Mark Makela / Getty As we’ve painfully learned firsthand over the past few years, Donald Trump is a jack of all trades but unfortunately, none of them serve a useful purpose. The race-baiting-lying-ass grifter who conned and cheated his way into the White House has also proven to be as petty as they come. So when he announced that he would be throwing out the first pitch at a Yankee game during last week’s Coronavirus briefing at the White House, many felt it was his way of one-upping Anthony Fauci throwing the ceremonial first pitch at the Washington National’s Opening Day game in D.C. that same day. But yesterday the man who’s made over 18,000 misleading statements since taking the Presidency in 2017 backed out of the “planned” August 15th ceremonial pitch citing other priorities...
Source: Bennett Raglin/BET / Getty Bobby Shmurda has flooded headlines more for his legal woes than his music, but that may soon change. In as little as a month, the Brooklyn rapper will face a parole board in hopes of securing an early release date sometime soon. He’ll have to convince them he’s a changed man and reveal his immediate plans to reignite his short-lived music career. TMZ reports: The rapper’s mother, Leslie Pollard, tells TMZ … Bobby plans to tell the parole board next month if they release him, he’s going to put his nose to the grindstone in the studio and also stay out of trouble. Leslie tells us Bobby’s been doing a lot of writing since he’s been behind bars, and he plans to record his work for Epic Records, the label that signed him. And, get this … Leslie says Bob...

Just 24 hours after dropping the visuals to “DadBod,” Logic comes through with a new joint for “Aquarius III” which finds the new retiree taking a stroll through his neighborhood in a jumpsuit and a pair of Solar Red Nike Yeezy 2’s. Just sayin.’ Back in NYC, Dave East pays homage to his fallen homie, King Shooter, and burns a spliff in memory of his man’s and ‘em in his clip to “My Loc.” Heads don’t pour out enough liquor for the dead these days, G. Back to the Future, Pretty in Pink, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Back to the Future turns 35 this year. To celebrate, Amblin Entertainment is releasing a new box set sporting a 4K restoration with a number of goodies and pinball machine parts. One of the big sells to the set, however, is never-before-seen footage featuring the likes of Ben Stiller and Jon Cryer auditioning to play Marty McFly. Yeah, this is definitely heavy stuff. So heavy that news of the footage has since caught the attention of Stiller and Cryer. Stiller humbly admitted that Michael J. Fox was “never in jeopardy”, ultimately contending that he “blocked out this memory.” However, Cryer’s reaction was a little different; in fact, he hit 88 miles per hour on his own memory banks, detailing an earlier ...
Madonna and Dr. Stella Immanuel Oh, Madonna, what a ride you’ve taken us in recent months. One second you’re donating 100,000 surgical masks to jails and prisons, they next you’re sharing weird bathtub takes on COVID-19 and paying tribute to George Floyd in the cringiest way possible. Now, you’ve gone and stepped in it again by circulating a video from a fringe group called America’s Frontline Doctors — and getting censored in the process. In case you missed it (and hopefully you did), on Monday a handful of “doctors” stood on the steps of the US Capitol to deliver a press conference touting the largely unproven effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine as a COVID-19 treatment or cure. Right-wing news organization Breitbart was the only outlet to livestream the hastily o...
After postponing their summer North American tour due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Guns N’ Roses have unveiled the rescheduled dates. The outing will now take place in summer 2021, but will be comprised of six fewer dates than the planned 2020 run. Originally, Guns N’ Roses had 19 North American shows scheduled for this summer, but the 2021 outing will only include 13 concerts. The band cites “routing and venue availability issues” as the reasons why six of the shows have been outright canceled. The 2021 run kicks off July 10th with a headlining appearance at Milwaukee’s Summerfest and runs through an August 19th show at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles. The planned 2020 shows that are not being rescheduled or relocated to a nearby venue are Philadelphia; San Francisco; Atlanta; ...
