METALLICA has posted another video as part of its new concert series, “#MetallicaMondays”, where the band is streaming a complete live show for fans on the group’s YouTube channel and on Facebook every week. The latest concert to be shared was recorded on drummer Lars Ulrich‘s personal camcorder on September 23, 1989 at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre in Irvine, California. Yellowcard Drop Their Lawsuit Against Juice WRLD
Pop-punks Yellowcard, who broke up in 2017, have dismissed their lawsuit against the late emo-rapper Juice WRLD according to the New York Times, for allegedly copying elements of their tune “Holly Wood Died” in his Sting-sampling megahit “Lucid Dreams.” This is probably for the best, though Yellowcard’s lawyer Richard S. Busch pointed out to Pitchfork that “the dismissal was without prejudice, so it can be refilled [sic].” Let’s hope not; United States District Judge Consuelo B. Marshall originally paused the suit after the rapper born Jarad Higgins died of an overdose ruled accidental at age 21. R.I.P. Denise Johnson, Primal Scream Vocalist Dies at 56
Denise Johnson, veteran singer who performed with Primal Scream, New Order, Pet Shop Boys, and countless other acts, passed away on Monday. She was 56. Friends and family confirmed the news on Twitter. Although no cause of death has officially been disclosed, a statement from the family confirmed that Johnson had been ill the week prior and her body was discovered holding her inhaler. Born in Manchester and raised in the suburb of Hulme, Johnson grew up in a musically rich household.
