Justin Bieber Denies Sexual Assault Allegations

Justin Bieber has denied allegations that he sexually assaulted a 21-year-old woman in 2014. The alleged victim, identified as “Danielle”, posted about her assault on Twitter over the weekend. In a since-deleted tweet, she said she met the pop singer, who was then 20, at SXSW in March 2014. She recounted how Bieber invited her and her friends back to his hotel room at the Four Seasons, before allegedly taking her to another room where they had sex. Danielle said she became uncomfortable and asked Bieber to stop, but he ignored her. Explaining why she decided to come forward now, Danielle said she was motivated after reading about a similar assault alleged against actor Ansel Elgort by a girl named Gabby. In response, Bieber has emphatically denied the allegations and provided evi...

Top 25 Albums of 2020 (So Far)

Welcome to our Mid-Year Report. All week long we’ll be sharing the music, movies, and television that have helped us survive a strange and confusing six months. We start today with our Top 25 Albums of 2020 (So Far). It’d be fatuous to pretend that the first six months of 2020 have been like any other. All of us are facing difficult realities: the pain of injustice, the loss of a loved one, or even just the despair of looking out the window and not knowing what tomorrow will bring or when it will come. For the purposes of this list, then, maybe it’s equally foolish to think music impacted us the same way it always does. Then again, perhaps that’s what makes music so integral to our lives: that no matter what the world or our individual lives look like, music has the magical knack of provid...

Justin Bieber Denies Sexual Assault Accusation From 2014

Justin Bieber has denied the accusations of sexual assault that a woman said happened during SXSW on March 9, 2014. The woman, who goes by “Danielle,” detailed on Twitter (which has now been deleted but can be seen below) how she met the pop star at an event and he brought her and her friends back to his room at the Four Seasons in Austin before taking her to another room to have sex. She said she said she felt uncomfortable and asked him to stop. In another set of tweets, another woman accused Bieber of sexual assault in New York City in 2015. Bieber issued a lengthy response to the SXSW accusation on Twitter, but not the second one. “I don’t normally address things as I have dealt with random accusations my entire career but after talking with my wife and team I have decided to speak up ...

Justin Timberlake Stresses Teaching Kids ‘All People Are Created Equal’ on Father’s Day: ‘Lessons Start at Home’

Amid a sea of short and sweet Father’s Day messages on social media this weekend, Justin Timberlake took a moment to speak about the lessons he and wife Jessica Biel are teaching their son, Silas. “Boys grow up to be fathers,” he wrote on Instagram, where he shared a personal note and a series of photos with his son on Sunday (June 21). “I think about that a lot these days. We try to teach our son to love and to respect everyone — we teach him that all people are all created equal, and that no one should be treated differently because of the color of their skin. We teach him this because one day, he will go on to teach his kids the same. It’s a cycle. And right now, as we all work to undo generations of discrimination that have plagued our system and our communities...

Justin Bieber Denies Sexual Assault Allegations, Plans to Take Legal Action

Justin Bieber has refuted allegations that he sexually assaulted a woman going by the name of “Danielle” in 2014. The woman, who tweeted from an anonymous account Saturday night (June 20) that was removed from Twitter shortly after Bieber publicly commented on the situation, claimed the incident took place at a hotel in Austin, Texas, on March 9, 2014. “I don’t normally address things as I have dealt with random accusations my entire career but after talking with my wife and team I have decided to speak up on an issue tonight,” Bieber wrote on his own Twitter account Sunday night (June 21). “Rumors are rumors but sexual abuse is something I don’t take lightly,” he continued. “I wanted to speak out right away but out of respect to so many victims wh...

DaBaby Rocks Australia’s Singles Chart For Fifth Week

DaBaby’s “Rockstar” (Interscope/Universal) is still rocking Australia’s singles chart, while there’s an all-new, all-Australian top three on the national albums survey. “Rockstar” enters a fifth week at No. 1 on the ARIA Singles Chart. The viral hit, featuring Roddy Ricch, holds onto the chart crown following the release of the “BLM” (Black Lives Matter) remix, which references his experiences with the police and the ongoing protests after George Floyd’s death. Meanwhile, Topic’s “Breaking Me” featuring A7S rises 5-4, a new peak, while Harry Styles scores a fourth solo top 10 as “Watermelon Sugar” (Columbia/Sony) climbs 12-6, a new high. It’s the former One Direction star’s third top 10 from the chart-topping album Fine Line, following “Lights Up” and “Adore You”, both of which...

Armin van Buuren and Jamis Drop Festival-Ready Big Room Single “Boom Boom”

Trance legend Armin van Buuren has joined forces with Italian wunderkind Jamis for their explosive new collaboration “Boom Boom.” Perfect for those longing for the days of music festivals amid COVID-19, the track song immediately transports listeners to the main stage.  Geared more towards those who prefer Armin’s newer tracks to his older, deeper cuts, the appropriately-titled tune immediately sets fire to the dancefloor with its drumline-inspired bass and classic big room styled synth. The result is a festival-ready anthem that will likely see some significant playtime when concerts (hopefully) resume in the near future. While this year’s events did not come to fruition, back when in-person music festivals were still going strong, “Boom B...
