Savages’ Jehnny Beth Shares Crushing Debut Solo Album To Live is to Love: Stream

Jehnny Beth, of post-punk band Savages, has released her debut solo album, To Live is to Love, via Caroline Records. Stream it in its entirety below via Apple Music or Spotify. For the new LP, the Savages rocker enlisted the talents of The xx’s Romy Madley Croft and Joe Talbot of IDLES. Actor Cillian Murphy also makes an appearance on “A Place Above,” as well as in the very intense music video for “I’m The Man”. Beth’s solo music still follows the same disjointed, anxious vein as Savages, with her own unique poetic lyrics placed front and center. Oasis rocker Liam Gallagher filmed his MTV Unplugged performance in 2019, but it is finally being released as a proper live album. Stream MTV Unplugged Live at Hull City Hall in full below via Apple Music or Spotify. The setlist consists of 10 tracks, including two of Oasis’ biggest hits in “Some Might Say” and “Champagne Supernova.” The 47-year-old songwriter also performed some of his own work, such as his debut solo single, “Wall of Glass”, and Why Me? The music world was devastated when John Prine died from complications from COVID-19 earlier this year. His final album was released in 2018, but on Thursday night, his final song was shared by his estate. “I Remember Everything” was produced by country hitmaker Dave Cobb and co-written by Pat McLaughlin. The tune was unveiled following the all-star tribute to the singer-songwriter that featured As from Kacey Musgraves, Sturgill Simpson, Kurt Vile, Margo Price, Jason Isbell among many more. Coachella Announces 2021 Dates After Cancellation News

Now Coachella is being planned for April 9-11 and April 16-18, 2021, and Stagecoach is scheduled for April 23-25, 2021. Following news Wednesday Coachella and Stagecoach festivals’ October dates were canceled by county health officials, promoter Goldenvoice announced new dates on Thursday (June 11) in 2021 for the Indio, California, events. Now Coachella is being planned for April 9-11 and April 16-18, 2021, Stagecoach is scheduled for April 23-25, 2021. Coachella’s 2020 edition was previously scheduled to take place April 10-12 and April 17-19 with headliners Travis Scott, Frank Ocean and Rage Against the Machine. Kicking off the National Music Publishers’ Association’s annual meeting Wednesday, the organization’s president and CEO David Israelite applauded RIAA CEO Mitch Glazier for his leadership in pulling together around 65 music trade groups to lobby Congress for CARES Act relief for self-employed music industry workers. Glazier himself applauded the industry for coming together and noted that in times of tragedy, artists are quick to respond, playing live concerts to raise money for any number of worthy causes. “But sometimes they are not so good at raising money for themselves” in their own time of need, he said. On Wednesday (June 10), the Louisville Metro Police Department released the incident report for the night of March 13, when three plainclothes officers used a battering ram to break into Breonna Taylor’s apartment, where she was shot by LMPD eight times and killed immediately.
