5 “Meh” Beauty Products You Really Don’t Need in Your Routine

As a beauty editor, I spend a lot of time telling you about the stuff you need. You know, the game-changing lotions and potions that will smooth your skin, give you shiny hair, make your hands hella soft, and a whole host of other beauty wish list items. But today, I’m coming at you with a cold, hard fact you might not be ready to hear. Here’s the truth: Mediocrity abounds in the beauty industry. That’s right. So much of the stuff out there marketed as miracle workers actually don’t do much at all.  As you can imagine, I get an up close, firsthand look at the ploys and truth-stretching that takes place, but as a consumer, I’m sure you’ve also had your suspicions. If I’m being totally honest, there are too many products that fall short of ...

Kate Middleton Has Been Wearing This 2021 Boot Trend For Years

If I had to describe Kate Middleton’s style, in a word, I’d say traditional. The Duchess rarely strays from classic wardrobe essentials that define polish and sophistication. Tailored separates, straight-leg jeans, a-line dresses, double-breasted coats and more are among her repertoire of timeless styles, which she rotates occasion after occasion.  With an aesthetic so enduring, it would be fair to say that Middleton rarely follows trends. But, by contrast, it seems that at times, trends follow her. Most recently, this can be seen within her penchant for riding boots.  Kate Middleton has been a fan of riding boots for years and has been spotted in the same brown leather pair on more than a few occasions. Often worn for royal appearances, the Duchess gen...

25 Stunning Haircuts Celebs in Their 50s Always Ask For

We’ve encountered enough badass women in their 40s, 50, 60s, and beyond to know that there are tons of outdated clichés about aging. Gone are the days where women are pressured to dress a certain way the second we hit age 40 or stop wearing our favorite makeup. (Although, there are formulas that work better for mature skin.) The general attitude around aging has seen a major shift for the better in recent years, and there’s a sense of liberation that’s come along with it that we absolutely love. While the number of years we’ve been on this earth doesn’t have to control our lives, there are, indeed, some unavoidable shifts that come up the further along we get, including changes to our hair. For this reason, many women start t...

This Beauty Product Is Following Me on Instagram—Here’s Why It’s So Popular

When it comes to caring for my skin in summer, I get pretty lazy. I can strip back my routine to the bare bones of cleansing and moisturising, and my complexion doesn’t seem to be the slightest bit effected. Winter, however, is a whole other story. As soon as the temperatures start to plummet, so does my skin’s appearance. My lips chap, my eyes water, my skin becomes irritated, and almost every morning I wake up to find a new spot has taken up residence on my face. Sure, it used to knock my confidence, but as I’ve come to expect this annual skin meltdown, I know how to better combat it. I start reintroducing acids to my regimen, and have various masks on rotation. However, as my skin is suffering more this year than most – I put it down to fabric mask-weari...

I’m 5’2″, and This Is What I’m Buying This Season

I don’t know about you, but I’ve always found dressing for my relatively petite stature to be quite easy. Sure, I have to hit up the tailor more than others, and I don’t particularly benefit from wearing flats on the regular, but, for as long as I can remember, it’s been pretty clear to me how to shop effectively and dress stylishly and for my height. So much so that oftentimes, people are actually surprised to hear that I’m only 5’2”. However, if you haven’t found it to be as simple, there’s no need to worry—because you have me! Lucky for you, not only do I get paid to share my style tips and shopping advice (thank you, Who What Wear), but I also love doing it, so today’s roundup goes out to all my fellow short girls out there. To read about and shop the eight flattering essenti...

The Lesser-Known Fashion Brands Our Editors Are Championing This Season

Despite all of the chaos and uncertainty, it feels as though 2020 was the year of the small brand. Of course, that is is not to diminish the struggles that independent brands have faced (and still face) through the pandemic, but as the parameters of our lives have shrunk, our fascination for small-scale production has only grown. Whether it’s due to concern for the environment, or purely a fear that independent businesses would fail without our support, platforms such as Etsy and Instagram have given us a chance to discover new names like never before.  As a team we’re passionate about championing small brands, and like intrepid explorers, we’ve spent many-an evening wading through the internet to hunt down those unknown labels—when you ...

We Predict These Expensive-Looking H&M Boots Will Sell Out Fast

We love a good winter boot as much as the next person, but we have a particular soft spot for unearthing a high street hero that not only looks the part but also is kind to our bank balances. This month H&M was the latest brand to offer up one such gem in the form of its knee-high kitten heel boots. A bit of a departure from the many chunky-soled styles proliferating on the high street this season, this pair has a a far more elegant feel to it, which very much matches our craving to feel a little more polished right now (anyone else feeling a little loungewear-weary?) You Deserve to Make Money Even When you are looking for Dates Online. So we reimagined what a dating should be. It begins with giving you back power. Thomas Tuchel defends outburst following Champions League win

Thomas Tuchel says he “understands” criticism of Paris Saint-Germain but dismissed its credibility when coming from fans and journalists watching from a “sofa”. PSG were out of sorts in the Champions League on Tuesday, as last season’s beaten finalists scraped a narrow 1-0 win at RB Leipzig. The decisive goal, an 11th-minute Neymar penalty, was one of just three shots on target mustered by PSG over the course of the match. Tuchel said after the game that he would not apologise for winning in a somewhat ugly fashion, with Leipzig enjoying 63 per cent of possession and managing 15 shots in total. He put the underwhelming performance down to fatigue caused by the team’s packed schedule, though it was not their only unimpressive display in recent months. Before Tuesday, PSG had lost three of t...
