Between the sheer number of Chanel handbags and the prevalence of stiletto heels on cobblestone streets, you wouldn’t be wrong in thinking that the costume design in Emily in Paris is a little unrealistic. While I don’t think the series was trying to infer that it’s normal for your average 20-something to be swanning around in Chanel tweed jackets and Louboutin heels, there’s no shame in feeling like Emily Cooper’s wardrobe did not align with your reality. Of course, even for those of us who don’t own a Dior baker boy cap or Off-White puffer coat, there are a few other more-attainable style ideas we can steal from the show’s protagonist, most prominent being her penchant for tonal colour dressing. Throughout the...
How did you get started? “The idea behind it was that we were becoming a team in life and love. We wanted to renounce our egos and be at service to each other. We started matching right from the beginning of our relationship, that was something that we were doing for us as it was part of our visual expression of love. But when we moved to New York, Nelson pushed for it to be on Instagram. He said “I think we should do something that we’ve been matching for five years. I think it’s cool and it’s the future”. I wasn’t too much into social media and then he said something that changed my mind saying that Instagram is just another medium, it’s just whatever you want it to be and how you work with it. And that really resonated with me. We already did photography and video for ...
My eyelashes have lived a life of neglect, they’ve been forgotten, cast aside and treated with a significant amount of unbothered-ness. I’ve never had long lashes, they’re very fine and almost baby hair like and I’m actually, not that concerned as that’s why we have false lashes. I wear said lashes on a daily basis, hence my natural lash neglect. But, as I’ve been going a bit more low-key of late, wearing a full set of fluffy lashes for a video call at 9am is a bit much, even for me. So, I’ve been diligently dusting off my mascaras and found a Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler aka one of the best in the game. I used it and was so impressed by how much lift and curl it gave my lashes. Clearly my lashes aren’t the problem, I just ...
When it comes to winter fashion, it can be all too easy to revert to a wardrobe of dark colours and dreary muted tones. Perhaps it’s a reflection of the weather here in the UK, but I often find myself turning to shades of black, charcoal and grey during autumn and winter. If you find yourself doing the same and are in need a little inspiration to get you out of your dark colour rut, may we please turn your attention to Kendall Jenner’s latest look? The model was spotted leaving a restaurant in Malibu recently, wearing a tonal look in shades of white and cream. While in the US, they say you shouldn’t wear white after Labour Day, Jenner bucked that trend in a cropped cream jacket, white leather trousers and shrunken sheer crop top. Denim-wise this month, I’m seeing lots of Londoners opting to pair their cosy pieces with longer length, slightly looser jeans for a 2020 update. With Gap’s Sky High jeans, I can stick to my favourite straight leg but try out that fuller-length inseam, which I’m loving. The skinny jean will always be a classic, but straight styles have that relaxed cool-girl feel that reflects London’s attitude toward fashion. Anything with a slightly vintage feel and not too much stretch, and I’m sold. The key, though, is to find the style that you feel most comfortable in and work around that. I spend my life searching for the perfect shade of blue, and I think I may have found it in these Gap jeans. As the weather cools and I pack away my sandals for another season, I’ll be pairing my cropped denim with...
It’s probably sacrilege to say this, being a fashion editor and all, but I’m not really a jewellery person. I just don’t feel the same excitement for a pair of dangly earrings or a statement necklace as I do for a new jacket or jumper. That’s not to say I don’t wear any adornment day-to-day. However, I tend to stick to one or two super-simple pieces that I’ll pick out on a Sunday and wear every day for the following week. This means that the jewellery pieces I buy have to be versatile, be easy to wear, and, of course, look the part. You Deserve to Make Money Even When you are looking for Dates Online. There’s no doubt that gender-orientated perfumes should be a thing of the past. Scents shouldn’t be assigned “male” or “female” because, arguably, all fragrances are unisex. It’s completely subjective, as our olfactory nerves will tell us what we like and don’t like regardless of how we identify. However, there are some incredible scents out there that are considered more “unisex” than others. While I’m quite the fan of what would be considered “feminine” fragrances—Diptyque’s Eau Rose is one of my favourites—I have a soft spot for the “unisex” fragrance. It all started, of course, with CK One way back in the ’90s. But more recently, it was Glossier’s You perfume that launched in 2017 that really turned my head. It is warm and cre...
I may have been born at the tail end of the ’80s, but I still consider myself to be a ’90s child. I wore floral leggings with oversize T-shirts, tied my hair with a rainbow of scrunchies, and donned my light-up trainers with pride. Of course, perhaps with the exception of the scrunchie, I would never wear such items now, but it seems there are a plethora of cool ’90s trends I missed out on because of my age. And the most notable has to be the leather blazer. Practically the uniform of the ’90s A-list elite—think Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston and Cindy Crawford—the leather blazer was easily the coolest cover-up of the decade. Most commonly worn with slip dresses, vintage denim or a pair of tiny rectangle sunglasses, it now appears the throw-on is making a comebac...

As a daily false lash-wearer, I’ve been waiting for a moment like this. A moment filled with innovation, possibility and change. Slightly dramatic, but alas, there’s not much excitement happening in this product category. We have eyelashes, we have glue and then there might be the occasional nifty application tool, but that’s it. That’s our lot. Honestly, my eyelids were craving some newness, especially as we’re in the age of the face covering. Eylure aka the lash pros, seemingly heard my pleas as they’ve just launched the most exciting lash product I’ve seen in the 10 years I’ve been wearing lashes for. Are you ready for this? Eylure Line & Lash (£10) is an eyeliner and wait for it… a lash glue. An ...
Here at Who What Wear, we often talk about the value of good basics, and what could be more of a winter basic than the humble black coat. Created in the most classic of classic colours, a black coat is the wardrobe staple that is guaranteed to go with almost everything you own. Whether it be a leather trench or a shearling-lined style, a black coat is the outfit-finishing item we often find ourselves reaching for throughout autumn and winter. With timelessness guaranteed, black coats are sure to earn their value, especially when it comes to price per wear. As it is an item that can be worn on repeat, the popularity level of a black coat would definitely be up there with blue jeans, white tees, or winter-favourite Chelsea boots. If you’re still in need o...
