Tom Daley has become somewhat of a knitwear maven, and the internet has been truly here for it. It all began in lockdown, when the diver said that he’d taken to knitting to help with mindfulness — and during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Daley’s knitting went viral. Now? The athlete launched his first collection of knitting kits with LoveCrafts.com. The full range of knitting kits are now also available to purchase from John Lewis. Teasing the collection back in Nov. 2021, Daley shared an image on his adorable knitting account, @madewithlovebytomdaley, with the words...
While the aim of my skincare and makeup routines during my teenage years and early 20s was always clear—combat breakouts and minimise the appearance of spots—my 30s have been an entirely different ballgame so far. When I turned 30 in April 2019, I was in the very early stages of pregnancy and working full-time in central London. The grind of the daily commute and a busy social life and work calendar combined with first trimester nausea and, later, intense pregnancy exhaustion meant that—hormonal breakouts aside—my beauty aims quickly shifted to finding products that would make me look less tired pronto. And my quest has pretty much remained the same since. Fast forward nearly three years and we’ve all been through a global pandemic (exhausting to say the leas...
In our experience, some of the most stylish wardrobes are made-up of a combination of high-street, designer and vintage. This is an approach that us editors at Who What Wear like to take with our own personal style, and London Fashion Week (you can see all our outfits here) is the perfect example of these three things coming together. But, we just wanted to take a moment to particularly celebrate all the the hard-working high-street buys that act as the glue in our outfits. Some pieces sit in the ‘staples’ category, such as Arket’s white T-shirt and M&S’s colour-pop long-sleeve top, while others are more statement-making (but no less versatile) styles, including Hannah’s incredible Warehouse suit and ...
I am not a high heels person and my feet are basically like tissue paper, meaning that I can’t help but roll my eyes whenever anyone tells me any shoes are comfortable, let alone heels. It usually takes me weeks to wear in a new pair of shoes, and so I was prepared for the worst when I attempted to wear some new platform heels. This year stacked, chunky platforms have made a comeback, and so I tried a velvet pair of sandals by Russell and Bromley. The heel is approximately 8.5cm, but they feel really solid to walk in thanks to the 3cm platform. The first time I wore them I lasted seven hours, and so in the ultimate test wore them for two full days of shows for London Fashion Week. I walked 20,000 steps in the heels, and didn’t wish I’d worn flats for a single se...

London Fashion Week is back for physical events, showroom appointments, and the best of the city’s street style. Despite storm Eunice trying to commandeer the pavements, attendees showed up in full force, wearing vivid oranges, playful pinks, oceanic turquoise, and lapis blues. From the best of LFW street style, we handpicked a few fashion trends that showgoers are loving. According to London’s style set, a blazer goes with everything, but make sure your jacket is interesting. Instead of the corporate black, navy, or neutral blazer, go for a “Matrix“-inspired leather piece or a statement jacket in bright orange or pale pink. If you’re new to colour pairings, then go the easy route and embrace tonal dressing. Shades of blue easily catch the eyes and calm the mi...
The next level down includes some really exciting contemporary accessory brands, from Wandler and Staud to Neous and A.P.C.— all sitting between the £200-£700 price point and perfect for a payday treat to yourself or big birthday gift. But what’s really got us bag-loving folk excited over the past couple of seasons is the seriously expensive-looking styles coming out of the high street. We’re talking supple, buttery leather styles and chic baskets that get our hearts racing almost as much as a brand new Prada. And luckily it’s all our our favourite go-to high street destinations that seem to have gotten the memo: COS, Arket, & Other Stories, Jigsaw and Mango have all stepped up their bag game recently to inc...
Oh, London Fashion Week—you never fail to disappoint. As editors, influencers, models, stylists and buyers made their way from show to show in what feels like the most “normal” Fashion Week since 2019, the streets of London became a sartorial showcase and made me realise just how much we’ve missed the spectacle. Of course, the Who What Wear team will be charting the trends that we’ve seen on the runway in good time, but right now, I’m focusing my efforts on reporting what the street style set has been wearing. Call me biased (I am a proud Brit, after all), but while New York Fashion Week certainly gave us plenty of trends to think about, I believe the street style looks from London are a league all their own. Who What Wear’s editor in chief, Hannah ...
Last week, I met someone for a work meeting and instantly knew they were an ARKET person. You can just tell. There’s something so put together yet effortless about the brand’s aesthetic that makes it instantly recognisable. With the innate power to translate seasonal trends in a way that keeps items current, but dateless, it’s all about elevate basics that’ll stand the test of time. And this is why the high street hero is the destination when it comes to a spring capsule. ARKET’s latest spring collection almost comes with the guarantee that you’ll love each item way beyond the season you buy it in. And with every piece being made from more responsible materials, you can also rest assured you’re buying into clothes, accessories and shoes that put people and the planet first. You ...
I consistently peruse Zara while doing market research for various stories. That said, I scroll through the dozens of pages and end up shopping a little bit for myself. I always make sure to share my great finds with my equally Zara-obsessed colleagues who, naturally, approve of my picks (and can often persuade me to hit purchase). However, I don’t have the money or the room in my wardrobe to buy it all, so getting it out of my system by sharing my latest finds here. I spent a few hours navigating the entire site, from new arrivals to sale items that are shockingly still in stock. If you’re in the mood to shop but don’t have time to search through hundreds of items like I do, you’ve come to the right place. From a kelly-green pliss...
Because whatever the formula, conditioner adds weight. It is virtually impossible to condition hair without leaving some form of hydrating coating behind. And when you’re trying your hardest to inject your fine strands with a bit of bouncy, lightweight volume, the conditioning process can prove frustrating. I have, after all, lost count of the amount of times I have stepped out of the shower with flat-as-a-pancake, greasy roots as a result of using too rich of a conditioner. Whether your hair is coiled, curly, straight, wavy, bleached, dyed, long or short, fine hair can come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, each requiring different levels of hydration. Luckily, my job has meant that my on-going quest to find the perfect conditioners for fine hair hasn’t had to prove costly. Has it been lo...
Because of the nature of our jobs, it’s worth noting that we have exceptionally high standards. We’re used to the best of the best, after all. And while it’s easy for us to reel off lists of products we love and swear by, when it comes to brands that really get it right, things get a little tougher. It’s no secret that most of us are very loyal to our favourite brands when we’re shopping for makeup, but very few makeup brands out there truly tick all the boxes. With that being said, out of the hundreds of brands we try every year, there are some that we know will never let us down. Whether you like colourful brights or a minimalist glow, these are the best makeup brands around, according to Team Who What Wear. You Deserve to Make Money Even When you are looking for Dates Online. So we reim...
