9 New-In Spring Buys I Really Love This Week

As an editor at Who What Wear, I typically spend a lot of time looking at new-in products, so every week, I update this story with the pieces that have caught my eye and that really stand out. I’m in the mood to just dress up again, and with a calendar full of weddings, hen dos and other celebrations for 2022, I’m already starting to look at fancier items I can add to my wardrobe. This week I love a pair of amazing checked platform heels, a bright pink shirt and an orange top and maxi skirt. I’ve also added some classic spring items to my wishlist, including two beautiful trench coats and an oversized leather jacket from Whistles. So whether you’re looking to buy, browse or discover something new, keep scrolling for pieces from the high street and designer labels that I love an...

8 Easy Jeans-and-Flat-Shoes Pairings I’m Stealing From Celebs

When it comes to celebrity style, it’s easy to jump straight into conversations about red carpet looks and directional Instagram posts of avant-garde outfits. But the truth is the stars love their jeans just as much as we do. Thank goodness for that because they inadvertently provide a mountain of inspiration on how to style them the moment they step out on the streets. Lately, in place of high heels, I’ve noticed that some of my favourite fashion-proficient celebs have been wearing jeans exclusively with flat shoes, and I want in. I’m not big into trainers, so I’m always on the lookout for flat-footwear solutions to wear with my denim, and it just so happens that Kendall Jenner, Katie Holmes and Zoë Kravitz (to name a few) have been exploring this combination in recent...

The Expensive-Looking Mango Coat Alexa, Sienna and Katie All Own

A testament to the coat’s versatility, Sienna, Alexa and Katie styled their Mango coats completely differently to one another. Alexa layered hers over a cream ruffle-hem midi dress, which she finished with black patent Mary Jane shoes and cute grey socks. Taking a more casual approach, Sienna styled hers with straight-leg jeans and trending cropped Uggs. Katie? She stuck to a neutral and creamy colour palette for her ensemble.   If you’re anything like me and find each outfit appealing, I’ve shopped out their looks below, including the all-important Mango coat.  You Deserve to Make Money Even When you are looking for Dates Online. So we reimagined what a dating should be. It begins with giving you back power. Get to meet Beautiful people, ...

I’ve Been Searching for the Perfect Shirt Forever— I Think I’ve Finally Found It

There are certain wardrobe classics you can spend a lifetime searching for; the perfect pair of jeans for instance, or the perfect trench coat. For me, it’s the perfect cotton button down shirt. I’ve tried them all, mostly from the high street I admit, and brought home a few really good ones to add to my collection. Mango, H&M and Arket all have great affordable options, but none have quite met my high standards of absolute perfection. They’re either too long, too oversized, too see-through or too stretchy; not to mention the ones that are lost to their creases after the first wash and never regain that original crispness.  I’d almost given up on my search, but recently, thanks to a late night Net-a-Porter sale order, I think I may have stumbled across the holy...

17 French Manicure Ideas I’ve Saved For My Next Salon Visit

When I was little, there were three things that I knew would be the mark of true adulthood. Long weave, lots of lipgloss and a French manicure. Yes, I was a teen of the noughties. There’s something about a French manicure that just screamed sophistication for me, and even as an adult with a ton of other nail options, the French manicure still has such a grip on the nail designs that I save on Pinterest and Instagram. The reason that this manicure never gets old or falls out of favour is because it is so easy to reinvent with little design additions and the entire colour spectrum to play with, without it looking too loud. You can adapt it to any season with different hues, sparkles and glitter. Or you can go super simple, classic and parred back, the list really goes on when it comes to Fre...

J.Lo Wore a Little White Wedding Dress on the Red Carpet With Ben Affleck

If we don’t get to see Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, famously referred to as Bennifer, get engaged (for the second time) in 2022, at least we can say that we witnessed the couple looking wedding-ready on the red carpet. It’s not the same, clearly, but when it comes to our favourite early aughts duo, we’ll take what we can get. On Tuesday night, the couple arrived at the Los Angeles premiere of Lopez’s new movie Marry Me, which she stars in alongside Owen Wilson and Maluma, casually dressed like—and acting like—newlyweds. Specifically, Lopez wore a long-sleeve lace minidress designed by Giambattista Valli with feather-embellished Jimmy Choo heels and Dior diamond earrings. Affleck’s look likewise set off wedding bells, including ...

You Have Depop to Thank For Holly Humberstone’s BRITs Look

Holly Humberstone‘s BRITs outfit was one to remember, and not just because of how incredible she looked wearing it. The artist sourced her look with the help of Depop, wearing a custom jumpsuit and gloves by seller Pristine, handmade in London. On the look, Humberstone said that “I’m so excited to be dressed by Depop for my first ever BRIT’s performance! I love vintage, and really care about sustainable fashion – I find most of my clothes second hand so it just made total sense to keep it circular for the BRITs. I’m always obsessed with the amazing pieces you can find on Depop and am championing some of my personal favourites with my performance look and my curated selection of sellers in the app.” Of all the BRITs looks that featured on the red carpet t...

I’m a Beauty Editor With Oily Skin, and Even I Love These Cleansing Oils

As someone who’s had oily, acne-prone skin for my entire adult life, I spent a huge number of years (no exaggeration) avoiding oily skincare products like the plague. Glow-boosting oils? No, thank you. Oil-infused cleansing balms? I’ll give it a miss. And my most hotly avoided product of them all? Cleansing oils. If you’re also a member of the oily skin brigade, then I know that you’ll understand where I’m coming from. When you spend all of your time trying to minimise oil production to prevent clogged pores and your makeup routine involves painstakingly applying powder to all the areas that you’re currently shining like a beacon from, then the thought of voluntarily applying more oil to your face feels counterproductive. However, a few years back, a rather lovely facialist recommende...

I’ve Worked in Fashion for 10 Years—These Designer Bags Are Worth It

When it comes to looking polished every single day, no one is quite as proficient at it as Jessica Skye. An influencer she may be, but what you mightn’t know about Skye is that she has the fashion clout to match, having held various roles within the industry before she found social media stardom. It’s this intrinsic knowledge and experience that sets Skye apart from her contemporaries—that and her imitable style. With a penchant for pared-back staples and easy-to-wear outfits, all in a gloriously versatile colour palette, her looks are the sort that remain perennially chic without being try-hard—a potent combination we immediately want to re-create for ourselves. Thankfully, this is going to be made so much easier, for each month, Skye will be sharing her new-season selects exclusivel...

All Our Favourite Fashion Brands Have Jumped On This One Coat Trend

We’ve all been there: It’s 7 a.m. on a Monday morning and the winter chill hasn’t quite dissipated yet, which makes leaving your bed that little bit more difficult. All you want to do at this point is roll to your desk (whether it’s in your living room or an IRL office) cocooned in your duvet, slipper-clad and clutching a mug of tea. Sadly, this is never really going to be a socially acceptable way to attend a meeting, Zoom-based or otherwise, but I am happy to tell you that one of the biggest coat trends of the last year is not a million miles away from this dream scenario. You Deserve to Make Money Even When you are looking for Dates Online. So we reimagined what a dating should be. It begins with giving you back power. Get to me...

Trust Me—These Are the Best Curl Creams For All Curl Patterns

When I went natural, I completely missed the point of curl creams. I was applying it super liberally (to pretty much dry hair) and expecting it to hold my coils in whatever style I had coiffed it into. This is wrong for all curl types, not just my thick and highly porous strands. Curl creams can transform in purpose depending on your hair thickest (and how weighed down it can feel) and curl tightness. Thicker tighter curls can benefit from using a curl cream to elongate coils if you so wish. Dry curls can benefit from the high water content to replenish hydration before sealing in with an oil while loose, fine curls can rake curl cream through wet hair to aid with definition. Honestly, the more I write about and use curl products, the more I realise that despite me relying heavily on ...
