Every Glorious Red Carpet Look From the 2021 Fashion Awards

It’s clear that no holds barred was the dressing mantra for most, as megastars served up some of the best looks we’ve seen since, well, the Fashion Awards in 2019. Highlights include Priyanka Chopra Jonas in literal head-to-toe floral print, Munroe Bergdorf in green plissé pleats, Kaya Scodelario in tiered white satin, and Gabrielle Union in what can only be described as a neon extravaganza. Then, of course, our Brit style darlings were also out in force—bravo Alexa Chung and Laura Bailey.  Scroll down to see what everyone from wore to the 2021 Fashion Awards. Dua Lipa, Rochelle Humes, and More of the Best Dressed at the 2021 British Fashion Awards

Pop star Dua Lipa, presenter Maya Jama, and actor Gabrielle Union were some of the stars that walked the 2021 Fashion Awards red carpet. Hosted at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Monday, 29 Nov., this year’s event celebrates fashion at the intersection of entertainment and culture. Fashion designers, models, and industry insiders kicked off the festive season in slinky, cut-out dresses, luxe silk-satin gowns with corset bodices, strapless dresses with opera gloves, jacquard and jewel-covered suits. We’re especially loving the mermaid-hem gowns worn by Addison Rae, Munroe Bergdorf, and emerging models Deba Hekmat and Mona Tougaard. As the occasion is hosted by Billy Porter, we expect to see some truly dramatic outfits — and we weren’t disappointed by Porter’s cus...

Fleeces Are Having A Moment—and I’ve Found So Many Good Ones

I’m just going to go ahead and say it – I’ve bought a fleece. There I said it, and I can guarantee I’m not the only one who wants one right now. In fact, I’ve already seen so many fashion people wearing them. And I blame them entirely for making me see how much of a winter staple they are. Even though, they are undoubtably the Marmite of the winter jacket world.  The fleece I’ve bought is from H&M, and this particular cream and navy iteration sold out three times before I managed to finally add it to my basket. I wanted it so much, I took my boyfriend to look for it in different H&M stores (to no avail), but he ended up buying one. So here we are, the couple with matching fleeces. And you know what? I’m not remotely mad about it be...

The Decision is Final–French Girls Have the Best Party Outfits

Sure, we all like to go to Paris for the candid standing in front of the Eiffel Tower snaps, and of course the pastries. But when we visit, we’re all about people watching to see what the ever-stylish French women are wearing. Luckily, we don’t always require a plane ticket to be able to do this, as Instagram brings us all the inspo we need.  Although we always look to these women for their basics–we’re talking anything from flared jeans to fail-safe top and jeans outfits, it’s French girls’ party outfits we’re most interested in right now. And rightly so, considering brunches, dinner gatherings and after-dark soirées are filling up our diaries this year.  So whether you look to Camille Charriere for the cool-girl way to wear vel...

I Swear by This One Product to Really Lift My Mood on Dark Winter Days

Since learning of SAD and the apparent role that light plays in its onset, I decided to invest in an SAD light. Before I get into my experiences with SAD lights, I would like to caveat that if you are struggling to cope with SAD, it is really important to book in with your GP. My own experience with SAD is mild and manageable, so I felt as though helping boost my daily exposure to light was worth a shot. The theory goes that investing in a lamp that simulates the sort of bright sunshine you might expect on a summer’s day can help trick your brain into reducing its melatonin production and boosting production of serotonin. Plus, there are also alarm clocks which mimic a natural sunrise (and sunset) to help get that circadian rhythm back on track. For the past two years, I have had an SAD la...

Logo Belts are Back–and These are the Designer Styles Everyone Is Wearing

It’s not an exaggeration to say that, thanks to the Gucci GG Belt, the logo belt has become one of the most ubiquitous accessories on social media. Unsurprisingly, over the last few years, more and more brands have been bringing out their own logoed iterations, and we’re pretty sure you’ll love them just as much as the iconic double Gs.  You Deserve to Make Money Even When you are looking for Dates Online. Trust Me—These Are the Cyber Monday Deals That Are Worth Knowing About

When it comes to shopping for clothes, shoes and accessories during Black Friday, you want to find classic pieces that have been slightly out of reach previously, or hard-working basics that are missing from your wardrobe (such as a new winter coat or ankle boots). I’d advise you only buy something that was already on your shopping list before it was on sale, check sizes carefully and don’t be tempted to buy something just because it’s in the sale. It’s all about considered, through-through purchases that won’t give you a pang of guilt when you see your bank statement in December. From high street staples to designer steals, keep scrolling to see what we’re loving in the Black Friday sales this year.  You Deserve to Make Money Ev...

R.I.P. Virgil Abloh, Fashion Designer and Kanye West Collaborator Dead at 41

Fashion designer Virgil Abloh has died following a private two-year battle with cancer. He was 41. According to a statement released by Abloh’s family, he “valiantly battled a rare, aggressive form of cancer, cardiac angiosarcoma. He chose to endure his battle privately since his diagnosis in 2019, undergoing numerous challenging treatments, all while helming several significant institutions that span fashion, art, and culture.” Born in Rockford, Illinois, to Ghanaian immigrant parents, Abloh graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering, and later received his Master of Architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology. While working at a Chicago print shop, Abloh met rapper Kanye West, which marked the beginning of a close fr...

7 Independent Fashion Brands We Think You’ll Love

Back in November, we gave a shout-out to all our readers to find out exactly what it was that you wanted to read. An overwhelming number of you asked to hear more about the independent fashion brands that needed our extra support in the midst of the pandemic. Well, we would expect nothing less, and of course, we were more than happy to oblige. While restrictions are starting to ease, we believe it is more important than ever to continue supporting these brands. It’ll be a long road to recovery, but it’s a cause we’re ready to fight for. We are self-confessed small-brand obsessives here at Who What Wear, and there’s nothing we love more than to champion those labels that are doing exciting things in the industry,...

Kate Middleton and Emily Ratajkowski Just Wore the Same Winter Outfit Formula

Emily Ratajkowski and the Duchess of Cambridge’s style choices usually couldn’t be more different, however this week they both approached winter dressing in a very similar way. They both were seen this wearing bright pink tailored jackets—it’s not a colour typically associated with winter dressing, but is a really uplifting choice. Both kept the focus on the jacket, pairing it with simple basics. Emily opted for black tights, a pair of knee-high boots and a black rollneck, while the Duchess wore a matching raspberry rollneck and a pair of high-waisted black trousers. Keep scrolling to see their looks and shop pink tailoring, if you’re keen to replicate this winter styling idea. You Deserve to Make Money Even When you are looking for Dates Online.
