17 Sleek Jumpsuits and Playsuits For Your Summer Adventures

Jumpsuits always look smart and stylish. Similarly to co-ordinated sets, a great jumpsuit, playsuit, or romper is an easy summer outfit that makes you look well-dressed with minimal effort. Our favourite jumpsuits for summer 2021 come in bright prints, plush fabrics, delicate linen, and lace. Before you search the web for the perfect suit, we found a few great pieces to add to your list. Ultra-lightweight knitwear and crochet pieces are popular fashion choices for summer 2021. Influence of the knitwear trend can be seen on London’s It bodysuit of the summer, House of Sunny’s Good Vibrations Body (£95) that is made from a plush nylon knitted fabric and was recently spotted on Maya Jama. We’re also loving delicate linen, cotton, and lace playsuits in calming earth tones fro...

These Buzzy Rings Deserve All the Hype They’re Getting

Over the pandemic, there have been some retail trends that have been very predictable—the spike in jogging-bottom sales, printed face masks and shoes appropriate for multiple laps of the park. Some of the trends, however, have been a surprise to even the most experienced buyers and editors, and one has been the rise in fine-jewellery sales. According to retailers like MatchesFashion.com, there has been a rise in sales, in particular, of statement cocktail rings that are fun and uplifting, and you don’t get any jollier than Italian jewellery designer Bea Bongiasca’s colourful Baby Vine Tendril rings.  According to Threads Styling, these rings have been one of the most sought-after items recently, with “clients buying multiples of the rings to stack and layer...

I Just Tried the New Chanel Bronzer for Dark Skin—Here Are My Honest Thoughts

Like most people, I am on a constant quest to get glowy skin. And while I’d love to level up the dewy finish with a trending skin tint, my combination skin type already emits lighthouse-worthy shine throughout the day, so I tend to steer clear of really luminous base products. Instead, I rely heavily on a healthy sweep of bronzer to produce that coveted lit-from-within glow. As a beauty journalist, I’ve always had one bronzer on my radar as a cult buy: the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream (£43). Honestly, beauty editors and consumers alike go wild for the investment buy. In fact, John Lewis & Partners sold enough of this beloved bronzer to fill 17,000 Chanel 2.55 handbags in 2020 alone. That’s a lot of bronzer. I was alw...

All Expensive-Looking Swimwear Has This One Thing in Common

I always want bikini shopping to be as quick and easy as possible, and over the years, I have realised there is one trend that I just can’t fault when it comes to fit. Thanks to Hunza G, seersucker bikinis and one-pieces have been one of the most popular swimsuit trends for the past few years. The brand was originally launched in 1984 and created the iconic minidress Julia Roberts wore in Pretty Woman. Thirty years later, the brand switched gears to create one-size scrunch-fabric swimsuits in a rainbow of colours.  Hunza’s suits have become go-tos among the A-list. When Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wore one of the suits in Italy last year, the site crashed due to the surge in demand. Unsurprisingly, this trend for scrunch-fabric swimwear has hit the h...

Hailey Bieber’s Bikini Is So Popular Reviewers Call It the “Holy Grail”

If you’re one of Hailey Bieber‘s 35 million Instagram followers, you know that she’s been on vacation in Hawaii visiting her surfer pal Kelia Moniz and serving up some prime tropical content. Aside from her açaí bowls on the beach, the most enviable part of her photo album is her extensive swimsuit collection. In one photo, Bieber lounges in a pool wearing Frankies Bikinis Tia Terry Triangle Bikini Top in Peace Terry ($80) and Enzo Terry Cheeky Bikini Bottom in Peace Terry ($90). The terry-cloth swimsuit is so popular with the brand’s shoppers that one reviewer even named the bikini top her holy grail. “I am a 36E and this is the perfect triangle bikini top,” the review says. “It’s the perfect bala...

Cycling Shorts Are Back for the Second Summer in a Row—Here’s How to Wear Them

Don’t judge me, but I currently have a tab open on Net-a-Porter with a pair of cycling shorts poised to be added to the checkout basket. I didn’t think I’d be that person who wants to wear those stretchy pants, but thanks to this trend’s proliferation across social media since last summer, I’ve finally been worn down. Of course, the OG of this trend is Princess Diana, and I’m not the only one who’s been inspired by the late royal. According to Google Trends, this month has seen a spike in searches for “cycling shorts.” If there was any doubt that this is about fashion and not about hopping on an actual bike, the term “Princess Diana cycling shorts” is a breakout trend for the month, indicating that t...

From Wolf Cuts to Bubble Braids, These 6 Hairstyles Are Trending Right Now

Emerging from TikTok, as all good 2021 beauty trends do, the wolf cut is undoubtedly the biggest trending hairstyle of the summer. With over 380 million views of the “wolf cut” tag on the app right now, Gen Z is going wild for this choppy cut thanks to its low-maintenance feel. An amalgamation of two of summer’s other trending cuts—the mullet and the shag—the wolf cut has short layers at the front, is tapered at the back and is all about the volume up top. Be warned, though: Despite its laissez-faire appearance, this artfully dishevelled haircut does require some styling. So if your hair is naturally flat, then have your texturising sprays at the ready.  You Deserve to Make Money Even When you are looking for Dates On...

These Ultra-Fabulous Ascot Outfits Are Exactly What I Needed

Event dressing isn’t a term we have used for the past two summers, however this week Royal Ascot is going ahead, marking the grand return to dressing up. Ascot can be difficult to dress for at the best of times, as the dress codes for attending the races are strict. In the Royal Enclosure guests must wear straps of one inch or greater, fascinators are not allowed (you must wear hats with a solid base of 10cm) and dresses must fall below the knee or longer. While these dressing regulations can at times feel a tad old-fashioned, there is something rather fabulous about putting on a formal dress and hat.  Given this is a royal event, we’re bounded to spot a number of royal sightings this week. As for the trends we’ve spotted on the race course, the guests...

Ahluwalia and Mulberry’s Capsule Collection Is a Powerful Tribute to Black Hair

Ahluwalia recently collaborated with luxury brand Mulberry, to release a limited-edition capsule collection of 12 tote bags and four silk scarves. Leading the collaboration is the signature Mulberry Portobello tote, which Ahluwalia has reimagined in three different variations. The first is a series of oversized Portobello totes, followed by five regular sized ones, and three mini totes — a size that was developed specifically for the capsule. According to the release, “the collection is influenced by Ahluwalia’s fascination with hair as a means of identity, protest and expression, drawing on the designer’s mixed Nigerian-Indian heritage, both cultures in which hair holds such importance.” In order to further the collaboration, Mulberry has signed up to the Halo Code...
