Data Protection in an Evolving Threat Landscape

Sourced from CSO. Information Technology (IT) has become simpler and more complex. This is best described with the cloud making it easier to consume while adding challenges of massive data growth, increased siloes and growing numbers of workloads. In addition, ransomware and malware attacks are a very valid concern. Data protection needs to be modernised to meet changing needs, simplified to mitigate complexity, and flexible to adapt to a changing world. Above all, data needs to be consolidated to provide an all-encompassing view it as a strategic business asset, moving beyond backups to data management. In a data-driven world the impact of a disaster is magnified With the emergence and growth of cloud technologies, data outages have become far less frequent. However, the impact of an outa...

Donald Trump’s Walk of Fame Star Destroyed by Man Dressed as The Incredible Hulk

Out of all the celebrities named on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, it seems like Donald Trump is the one whose star is most frequently and intentionally vandalized. Once again, someone has damaged his plaque, but this time it’s not at all who the cops expected: The Hulk. According to TMZ, law enforcement sources said a man who was dressed up as the Incredible Hulk in all of his green glory is to blame. The person took a pickaxe — seemingly the preferred demolition tool for the job, at least based on previous incidents — to Trump’s star at 5:00 a.m. PT this Friday, destroying it “beyond recognition.” Apparently, Trump gave him too many reasons to be angry. So far, nobody has been arrested and police are still investigating the scene. However, a felony vandalism report taken that morning lists ...

CNN Anchor Brings The Receipts For Black Trump Support Who Denies The Orange Overlord Is Racist

Source: Pacific Press / Getty Why these news networks continue to interview these people we never know, but as long they continue to waste time in doing so, they need to continue to hold them accountable on-air. Wednesday (Sept.30) on CNN, T.W. Shannon, the co-chair for Black Voices for Trump (yes, this really exists), made a complete fool out of himself on national television. Anchor Brianna Keilar tried her best to get an answer out of the Trump bootlicking coon when she asked him why  Donald Trump “did not condemn white supremacists” and basically weaponized the Proud Boys during his disastrous “debate” performance with Joe Biden on Monday. Like every Trump stumper, Shannon responded with a lie claiming that agent orange said he would condemn white supremacy “three times,” Kielar r...

Edo election: Impunity responsible for APC’s defeat – Odigie Oyegun

While noting that the electorate voted en masse in line with their conscience, he added that impunity and imposition of candidate at the party’s primaries also contributed to the loss. In an interview with journalist in Benin, Oyegun commended President Muhammadu Buhari for not interfering in the process but allowed the people’s will to prevail. He also lauded Oba Ewuare II for his timely intervention at brokering peace between the major actors and stakeholders of the APC and the PDP. He said, “It is democracy within the parties and impunity within the parties,...

It was learnt that each senator would present 1,000 beneficiaries, while a member of the House of Representatives would present 50 beneficiaries from each of the local government areas in their constituency. The lawmakers were said to have rejected the 30 and 25 slots per senator and Rep member respectively, which was initially allocated to them by the ministry in August. A senator confirmed to newsmen on condition of anonymity that he had directed his aides in his constituency office to liaise wi...

The attacks raised questions about the stock exchange’s security, as well as the threat actors’ underlying motives. “This was a series of distributed denial of service (DDoS) incidents, in which threat actors disrupted the normal traffic to the enterprise by overwhelming the target with a flood of internet traffic at volumes that the system just couldn’t handle,” explains Risna Steenkamp, General Manager: ESM at value-added distributor Networks Unlimited Africa. “In financial services terms, the New Zealand Stock Exchange is a re...
