The former Queens Park Rangers (QPR) player who made a big-money move to Selhurst this summer played for 45 minutes in the encounter and was brilliant throughout his stay at the club. Eze presence in midfield showed why the club doled out 20 million pounds for his services. The player who is eligible to play for England and Nigeria fired a shot wide from 20 yards after making space for himself. He set up Andros Townsend who tried an overhead-kick at goal but it was blocked before Jordan Ayew hit the post as the first half ended goalless. Why the Healthcare Industry must Adapt to the Cyberthreat Landscape

Sourced from Getty Images. While healthcare providers must accelerate their digital health maturity as it directly improves operational efficiencies, quality of patient care and improves the protection of personal and sensitive information, it also provides a greater platform and risk for cyberattacks. This is according to Shiraaz Joosub, Healthcare Sales Executive at T-Systems South Africa, who says that healthcare is a booming industry. It is fraught with strict regulations and high revenues that provide an environment for cybercriminals to target every aspect of its operations, especially where technology is optimally utilised. “Due to regulations related to the Protection of Personal Information (POPI) Act, the need to use, manage and store sensitive patient data creates an increased r...

WHO harps on virus prevention plans

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has emphasised the need for effective COVID-19 prevention plans as countries reopen their economies and borders. Its Director-General, Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus, gave the advice during a news briefing from Geneva on Monday. Ghebreyesus said he had observed the eagerness of countries to “get their economies going again”, eight months into the coronavirus pandemic. According to him, if countries are serious about opening, they must prioritise the suppression of transmission and safety of lives. He warned that opening up without efficient and effective prevention measures in place was “a recipe for disaster”. Ghebreyesus said this might seem an impossible balance, but it could be done if countries were in control of the transmission. “The more control they have...
