Rangers picked up a 5-0 win over Ross County in the Scottish Premiership yesterday and Steven Gerrard’s side are now 23 points clear at the top of the table. Ryan Kent, Filip Helander, Joe Aribo, Ryan Jack and Connor Goldson scored to give the home side a thumping win. However, the fans were particularly impressed with the display of midfielder Ianis Hagi. The 22-year-old playmaker was lively throughout the game and he was a constant threat to the County defence. The midfielder managed to create a goal for his teammates yesterday and he was arguably the best player on the pitch. His assist for Ryan Jack’s goal was one of the standout moments of the match. Hagi could have scored himself but he was denied by the post. The youngster still has a lot of room for improvement but he continues to ...

Liverpool and Manchester City are among clubs that are ‘circling’ around West Ham United’s highly-rated young midfielder Declan Rice, according to reports from The Guardian. Rice was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea during the summer transfer window, but the Hammers were reluctant to let him go. Frank Lampard reportedly is a big admirer of Rice, and it would take a fee in the region of £80 million to lure him away from the London Stadium. According to a recent report from The Mirror, Rice has informed his friends that he would prefer to stay in London and has no interest in joining Manchester United, another club who are interested in signing him. Rice is enjoying a superb campaign once again, and West Ham are in no rush to sell him in the next summer. SL View: Do Liverpool ...

Kris Boyd says that he wouldn’t trust the current management at Celtic to successfully rebuild the club’s squad. The Hoops are currently 20 points behind Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership after struggling to produce their best form this season. Speaking on the Sky Sports Scottish Football Podcast, the former Rangers star cast doubt over manager Neil Lennon’s ability to turn things around. “When you go through the whole process and structure of what’s going on at Celtic at this moment in time, when you see the money that has been wasted on transfers already and then you are saying go and recruit 10 or 12 players, I don’t think I would trust anybody to go and spend the money,” said Boyd. “I think Celtic are in a very difficult situation right now. It’s all well and good having t...
Frank Lampard appears to have been taking lessons in diplomacy from Neil Lennon judging by his antics at his press briefing on Friday. Speaking ahead of the FA Cup tie against Luton Town, the Chelsea boss criticised the objectivity of journalist Liam Twomey from The Athletic. Lampard was asked a question by Twomey about the importance of having Petr Cech alongside in him during difficult times at Stamford Bridge. His answer had all the hallmarks of someone looking for any excuse to deflect attention from his team’s recent performances. “To be fair Liam, their confidence would be shot if they were to read some of the pieces you write at the minute,” said Lampard. “I read them and some of the confirmation bias that you reflect on after games – it’s almost like a social media pundit to try an...
