Joel Embiid Speaks on Supposedly Escalating Rift With Ben Simmons

The Ben Simmons and Philadelphia Sixers debacle seems to be far from over. Back in August, HYPEBEAST reported that Simmons has reportedly cut off all communication with the team. Earlier this week, sources have claimed that the rift between Simmons and Joel Embiid has continued to escalate. Hours after the reports were made, The Sixers’ big man took to Twitter to refute the claim, “Sources “Trust me bro”!! Stop using my name to push people’s agendas. I love and hate drama. I love playing with Ben. Stats don’t lie. He’s an amazing player and we all didn’t get the job done. It’s on me personally. I hope everyone is back cuz we know we’re good enough to win.” Embiid continued on a long Twitter rant where he called out Philly fans for booing him in the past and that they should be better, “Fro...

Report: Aston Villa player nearing exit on deadline day, manager gives ‘green light’ to move

Frederic Guilbert could be on his way out of Aston Villa before the summer transfer window closes. Football Insider says he’s closing in on a season-long loan to Racing Strasbourg – Dean Smith has given the ‘green light’ for Guilbert to make the switch. The 26-year-old has been short of playing time under Smith and is behind Matty Cash in the pecking order, so he’ll have to leave to get regular first-team football. Guilbert spent the second half of last season on loan at Strasbourg and made 14 appearances, so he’d be returning to a familiar place. Guilbert joined Villa on a four-year deal from SM Caen in January 2019 and has since made 32 appearances in all competitions. The uncapped Frenchman sought a temporary move away when he was struggling for playing time, and it appears history is r...

Chelsea have blocked the potential loan exit of Callum Hudson-Odoi, The Athletic reports. The England international was recently the subject of a loan bid from Borussia Dortmund, while Leicester City were also credited with an interest. He was open to a move to secure regular first-team football, but the Blues have decided to keep him with Thomas Tuchel wanting sufficient squad depth. Sportslens view: Hudson-Odoi has the preference to play on the left wing, and Dortmund were prepared to guarantee him regular playing time from the position. However, the Blues have blocked his loan exit even though he has been an unused substitute in the first three league games of the season. With Tuchel preferring to play with a 3-4-2-1 formation, Hudson-Odoi faces a tough task of breaking into the XI with...

‘Sad sad day’, ‘Gave everything for the badge’ – Some Spurs fans react to 28-yr-old’s departure

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that defender Serge Aurier has left the club following the mutual termination of his contract. The defender signed for the London club back in 2017 from Paris Saint-Germain but he has struggled to establish himself as a key player for the Premier League side. Aurier leaves Tottenham having made 110 appearances for them and he managed to score eight goals as well. The departure from Tottenham makes complete sense for the 28-year-old as he would have struggled for regular game time following the arrival of Emerson.
