The former Sheffield United star was signed to add energy and physicality to Rangers’ midfield, but he struggled to have the desired impact on the game. It is now reported that the north London outfit included Reiss Nelson and Ainsley Maitland-Niles as makeweights in the offer for Maddison. The proposal has been snubbed by the Foxes, who are reluctant to sell their prized asset unless a straight-cash offer of over £70 million is made. Sportslens view: The Gunners have already committed £71m to sign three players in Nuno Tavares, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Ben White in the transfer window. £100m man on the verge of completing record breaking transfer to Manchester City

Jack Grealish is closing in on a move to Manchester City. According to The Athletic, City are on the verge of agreeing a £100 million deal with Aston Villa over the transfer of the 25-year-old. Grealish would become the most expensive transfer in Premier League history. That accolade previously belonged to Gareth Bale following his £85m move from Tottenham Hotspur to Real Madrid in 2013. It will also surpass the £89m Manchester United paid Juventus in 2016 for Paul Pogba, which was then a world-record fee. The Villa captain is expected to have a medical in the next 48 hours if negotiations continue to progress, claim The Telegraph. Villa’s owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens have attempted to persuade Grealish to stay and sign a hugely improved contract, which has led to a slight dela...

25-yr-old eyeing summer transfer, West Ham most likely to offer him an escape route

West Bromwich Albion attacker Matheus Pereira has been linked with a move away from the club this summer. According to the Athletic, Aston Villa, Leicester City and West Ham United have shown an interest in the player but the Hammers are the most likely to offer him an exit route. The player has recently revealed on social media that he wants to leave the Baggies but their £30 million valuation of the Brazilian has complicated any potential move. Newcastle have been offered the chance to sign 28-year-old Spaniard this summer

Newcastle United have been offered the chance to sign Mariano Diaz from Real Madrid. He enjoyed a prolific year with Lyon before joining Madrid and clearly has the ability to be a regular goalscorer if given the chance. Mariano needs to join a club where he can play first-team football, and a move to St James’ Park seems ide...
