XENEX MOTORSPORTS Will Make You a V8-Swapped Mazda MX-5 Speedster

The Mazda MX-5/Miata is one of the most adored cars to come out of Japan for its tunable properties and subsequent performance capabilities, inclination to drift, and for its simplistic stylish good looks. But what happens when you give this formidable little JDM classic to the car designer Kasim Tlibekov and the design studio Tlibekua to develop a speedster concept? The team of artists took the best-selling sportscar of all time and turned it into the MX Speedster, and now, XENEX MOTORSPORTS is making the car in real life. What started life as a render will now become reality. Beginning with the original naturally aspirated era of 1989-1997 Mazda Miatas, the company then sheds 250 lbs of weight before crafting its bespoke Speedster body kit. The Audi RS4 Will Make You Feel Like a Rally Driver

After driving the Audi R8 and the Audi RS3 for Hypebeast’s Open Road, we could confidently consider ourselves enrolled in the Quattro family. Addicted to the German automaker’s all-wheel-drive system, the subsequent abundance of grip, and the moreish turbocharged surge of power as we push through the rev bands, we thought we’d done it all. That was until we got our hands on the Audi RS4.  With Audi’s RS line, we’ve come to learn that they are unequivocally cool cars. There’s power in understated, controlled insanity that the RS division possesses. By the way of a badge, the RS division indicates its willingness to be unhinged, understood within a crowd of fellow drivers on the road. So with this in mind, we were in no doubt of knowing what the RS4 would be like before we’d even started its...

You Can Actually Buy Mercedes-AMG’s GT2 Race Car

Customer racing cars are big business — Ford just released its $1.7M USD GT for the track, if you need any convincing. Now, Mercedes-AMG joins the mix (which includes the likes of Porsche, Ferrari and Pagani) with its GT2, a track-focused example of its much-loved GT model. Coming as a homologated race car that Mercedes-AMG customers can actually buy, this GT2 is best seen as a sort of baby GT3 or GT4 racer. But, don’t mistake it for not being a riot on the ‘ring. Aimed at amateur drivers, the car delivers more power than its more serious racing counterparts because there are fewer regulations restricting the car’s output. As a result, the four-liter twin-turbo V8 delivers 707 HP and up to 800 Nm of torque, which when paired with the sequential six-speed racing gear...

Ford Unveils 800 HP, $1.7M USD Track-Only Ford GT Mk IV

The contemporary Ford GT is one of the most elusive supercars around, and things are about to get even rarer as the American marque has just unveiled its limited-edition track-only 2023 Ford GT Mk IV. With just 67 due to be built in homage to the original 1967 racer, this racing iteration comes with a host of improvements and elements to make it a formidable component on the grid. Starting with the body, we find the GT grows a Long Tail design for better aerodynamics and drag coefficient, of course made from carbon fiber, and an overall growth for the wheelbase that makes the car handle better. Looking smoother all over, we find headlight covers revealing just slithers of LED lighting, a large air-dividing front splitter and front bonnert luvres. Around the side, we find aero discs as rims...

Final Boeing 747 Leaves the Factory After 52-Year Run

After more than half a century in the skies, the 1,574th and final Boeing 747 left the original Boeing factory in Everett, Washington. Nicknamed the Queen of the Skies, the infamous Boeing 747 was the first “Jumbo Jet” and twin-aisle airliner in the world. Known for making international travel more attainable, the 747 has been flown by U.S. presidents since 1990 with two customized versions in the Air Force One fleet. For Jon Sutter, the grandson of Boeing aircraft designer and “father of the 747” Joe Sutter, it was an emotional occasion. “You think of everything that airplane has done. It’s carried the space shuttle, It’s airlifted a thousand refugees at a time. It’s actually hard to imagine the world without it,” said Sutter. “There’s not much ou...
