As the push towards going all-electric becomes more apparent, Jeep has revealed plans to launch four new models of electric SUVs in North America by 2025. Amongst the new models include the luxurious Grand Wagoneer and the Wrangler-inspired off-road car, the Recon. Jeep has outlined an aggressive electric vehicle plan to launch itself into becoming North America’s quintessential SUV brand in the new age. The parent company, Stellantis, revealed that it hopes that half of its U.S. sales and all its European sales, be from all-electric vehicles by 2030. Pricing for Toyota‘s 2023 GR Corolla has just been announced. The AWD hot hatch that’s been steadily gaining interest amongst automotive enthusiasts will be available in three trims for the North American market — Core, Circuit, and Morizo. All set at 300 horsepower via a turbocharged 1.6-liter inline-three, each model sees different levels of performance upgrades in a six-speed manual package. The Core features aluminum pedals, a 12.3-inch digital dash, sports seats, an 8-inch infotainment system, and a 6-speaker sound system. The Circuit adds a limited-edition shift knob, a carbon fiber roof, a big brake upgrade, and limited-slip differentials for both axles. The circuit will also be limited to 1,500 units. Announced over Twitter, Ferrari further teased the Italian super SUV with a shot of its headlights with the line, “You’ve heard the rumors. Now Hear This,” then followed by the roar of its rumored V8/V12 engine revving up. Back in July, Honda finally unveiled the highly-anticipated 2023 model of its Civic Type R but kept its performance specs largely under wraps — until now. Confirming that the new version will indeed be the most powerful Civic Type R ever produced, the 2023 variant will push out 315 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque through its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Honda says the power increase is thanks to a redesigned turbocharger, intake and exhaust system. The Petersen Automotive Museum is now displaying DeLorean‘s newly-unveiled Alpha5 EV concept. Now already being displayed at the Los Angeles location, the Alpha5 will be on exhibit until September 25, and visitors can get an up close and personal look at the iconic automotive company’s first step into the future.
