Porsche has just released a teaser of the anticipated 2023 911 GT3. Revealed with a clear look at its glorious rear wing, the track-ready big brother to the 911 GT3 was shown in glossy black with matching wheels. As Andreas Preuninger, Head of GT Vehicles of Porsche, mentions, the team was “focused primarily on aerodynamics and chassis when developing the new 911 GT3 RS,” and some of that work can be seen in the increased wing size, vertical aero fins, and intake vents on the hood. Optimized for the circuit, the 2023 911 GT3 RS is powered by a high-revving, four-liter flat-six engine that is capable of producing over 500 horsepower. A leaked brochure from a customer of a JDM 2023 Honda Civic Type R has just given fans further info on the type of power the new generation of Civic Type R produces. The previous FK8 produced 316 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque whereas its US market versions saw a 10 horsepower reduction. The spy shot of the brochure indicated that the new (and 90 lbs heavier) FL5 will produce 326 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque for its 2.0L turbocharged engine — 10 more horsepower and 15 more pounds of torque. Shibukawa City in Gunma Prefecture, Japan has sponsored taxis inspired by the prominent cars from the Initial D anime and manga series. As part of the city’s tourism campaign, three cars be available to cater to passengers around the city until the end of March next year. The vehicles will be styled after Takumi Fujiwara’s Toyota AE86, Keisuke Takahashi’s Mazda RX-7 and a car featuring an illustration of the four main characters from the original series. Shibukawa City, depicted as Takumi Fujiwara’s hometown in Initial D, proposed a program to revitalize its town in 2008, with the help of the Shibukawa Ikaho Onsen Tourism Association, JTB Corporation travel agency, and other organizations. A German custom workshop specializing in widebody US cars has transformed a Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat with widebody kit, . Sebastian Bader, founder of S. Bader Karosserie und Lack in Lebus, transformed his own 2016 Hellcat with a widebody kit from Lion’s Kit, which added a further 9cm (3.5inches) to the width of the car’s rear wheel arches, on top of Dodge’s own modifications. The kit adds a front splitter, sill extensions, side extensions to the rear apron and a larger ducktail-style spoiler lip, giving the Dodge “an even meaner, more athletic look.” On top of the kit, Bader added an engine hood from the more powerful “Redeye” Hellcat variant,  with two additional outlets. Tesla reported a quarterly decline in revenue and earnings due to supply chain complications emerging, inflation, and an extended shutdown in China. The company still managed to generate $16.9 billion USD in revenue in the second quarter. However, that is lower than the $18.8 billion USD generated in the first quarter. Tesla stated that they earned $2.3 billion USD in the second quarter compared to $3.3 billion in the first quarter. Despite the decline, the company’s year-over-year result remains strong, with revenue increasing 42% from the $11.96 billion USD. Maserati wants a slice of the action and it aims to do so with “Project24,” a non-road-homologated, track-only experiential car that takes what the marque has learned with its MC20 and applies it to the race circuit. Limited to just 62 units, this highly-limited car is set to be a machine destined only for racing, meaning those that get their hands on it will likely experience an incredibly formidable car akin to other track specials from brands such as Ferrari and Porsche. During a call with investors on Wednesday, Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed that the company is looking to begin delivering its highly-anticipated Cybertruck in the middle of 2023. The Cybertruck is set to be built at Tesla’s 2,500-acre Gigafactory in Austin which currently serves as the U.S. manufacturing hub for Model Y and the company’s global headquarters. “We are still expecting to be in production with the Cybertruck in the middle of next year,” said Musk. “We’re very excited about that product.
