2023 M4 CSL Becomes BMW’s Fastest Production Car to Complete Nürburgring’s Nordschleife Lap

In celebration of its 50th-anniversary, BMW M has now created its fastest production car to ever lap the Nürburgring’s Nordschleife circuit: the 2023 M4 CSL. The “CSL” portion stands for Competition Sport Lightweight, which translates to a vehicle that’s not only powerful but also nimble and agile. With 40 more horsepower than the M3 Competition, the new M4 CSL can push out a hefty 543 horsepower while being 240 pounds lighter than its sibling, measuring in at just 3,640 pounds. With those traits combined, the car managed to lap Nordschleife in just 7 minutes and 20.2 seconds, topping the BMW charts. 0-60 mph is achieved in a mere 3.6 seconds while its electronically-limited top speed reaches 191 mph. Powertrain aside, the M4 CSL also carries a lower ride height than the ...

A Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Coupé Sold for $142M USD, Making it the World’s Most Expensive Car

The car “that would never be sold,” also known as the Mona Lisa of the automotive industry, a one-of-two 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Coupé has just been bought for $142,000,000 USD. What stands as the sister car to Sterling Moss’ Mille Miglia-record-breaking, open-cockpit 300 SLR, and is just one of two ever built, has been bought by the British expert and dealer Simon Kidston on behalf of a client following 18 months of “diplomatic groundwork” that resulted in Mercedes-Benz holding a private and selected member auction of the above-mentioned car. Held in secrecy at the Mercedes-Benz Museum on May 5, 2022, the car was secured for an unnamed collector whose $142M USD pay-out will go towards the marque setting up a charitable fund for young people. The figure is ...

Brabus’ Rolls-Royce Ghost Is the Perfect Combination of Luxury Refinement and Sportiness

Brabus is on a roll, as it has just followed up on its Porsche Taycan Turbo S tune with its take on the opulent Rolls-Royce Ghost. Naturally, nothing about Brabus’ Ghost is standard. The twin-turbo V12 engine sees power increase from 563 HP to 700 HP, with torque now sitting at 701 lb-ft at just 2,000 RPM. As a result, the Ghost can hit 62 MPH in a respectable 4.6 seconds before going onto its limited top speed of 155 MPH — because in a Rolls-Royce, speed is not really of the essence. Instead, the Ghost is all about refinement. Despite numerous visual upgrades inside and out, the Rolls-Royce remains a classy beast. Brabus adds exposed-carbon fiber aerodynamic enhancement components that give the car a newfound sportiness, notably defining the front with a new lip spoiler and ai...

Rolls-Royce’s Second Boat Tail Coachbuild Is Inspired by Pearls

The luxury British marque Rolls-Royce shocked the automotive world last year when it unveiled its $28,000,000 USD Boat Tail Coachbuild, which was rumored to have been purchased by JAY-Z and Beyoncé. Now, in an unlikely turn of events, Rolls-Royce has unveiled the next chapter of its Boat Tail story, unveiling the second of only three cars that will ever be built under this moniker. Like the one that came before it, this new iteration is a work of art and a true expression of the manufacturer’s capabilities. Telling a completely unique story that relates only to its new owner, the Boat Tail is described by Rolls-Royce as being “a masterwork of restraint, sophistication, elegance and attention to detail.” As such, it is completely hand-built from vast, single sheets of alum...

Land Rover Offers First Look at Its Three-Row Defender 130

Land Rover has finally offered enthusiasts a first look at the long-awaited Defender 130. While the upcoming SUV will share the same wheelbase as its Defender 110 sibling, the body of the 130 has actually been lengthened by 14 inches to accommodate a third row of seats at the rear. This gives the car a total capacity of eight seats and virtually identical approach and breakover angles, although the extended rear means your departure angle will be slightly compromised. The rest of the 130 looks pretty much the same as the 110, sharing a majority of design cues from the latter model (at least up front). As for powertrain options, AutoBlog reckons a V8 version would be highly unlikely. Instead, you’ll probably get to choose between a turbocharged four-cylinder variant or a turbocharged ...
