Toyota is continuing to expand on its Nightshade Edition collection by giving the 2023 Venza its blacked-out trim. As its name suggests, the package gives the hybrid SUV an even sleeker look by changing up some of its accenting. A new black acrylic grille trim now sits up front paired with smoked chrome extended bumpers at the front and rear, while the side mirror caps, door handles, shark fin antenna and rocker panels have all been finished in gloss black as well. MANHART continues to branch out from its usual selection of BMWs with its latest project, the CRT 800, otherwise known as its modification of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coupé. In standard form, the SUV’s four-liter bi-turbo V8 produces 550 HP and 770 Nm of torque. However, MANHART takes this to the extreme, adding turbo upgrades, a MANHART intercooler, and software optimization of either ECU remapping or MANHART’s MH tronik auxiliary control unit, to create an SUV that now produces 807 HP and 1,090 Nm of maximum torque. Tesla is recalling 130,000 vehicles in the United States due to a software issue, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced. The NHTSA published a notice on Tuesday detailing the recall, which covers Tesla’s Model S and Model X from 2021 and 2022, as well as its 2022 Model 3 and Model Y. The issue with the vehicles is a software bug in its infotainment system, resulting in overheating that makes the processor lag or restart. As a result, the system may not be able to display necessary images. “A lagging or restarting CPU may prevent the center screen from displaying the rearview camera image, gear selection, windshield visibility control settings, and warning lights, increasing the risk of a crash,” the NHTSA says in the notice. Exterior automotive designer Alexis Poncelet has rendered a futuristic Honda “HR-X Delsol” concept, imagining a sleek post-apocalyptic vehicle that straddles the line between a space rover, Tesla’s Cybertruck, and a futuristic electric racer. “Honda brought a meaningful and toyish approach recently,” wrote Poncelet in an introductory post. With anticipation ever-increasing, DeLorean has now decided to shift up its global reveal date for the EVolved by three whole months. Announcing the news over on Twitter, the automaker says that the new reveal date has been moved up from August’s Pebble Beach event to the end of May. The company says the shift was due to popular demand from fans, and also shared a new teaser of the upcoming EV, showcasing its rear light bar and a shadowy silhouette of the rest of the vehicle.
