There’s a race happening in the electric automotive industry, and it seems that Lucid Motors might have edged across the line with its new Air Grand Touring Performance model. The car was first positioned as the longest-range, fastest-charging electric car on the market, and has since gone on to become the most powerful electric vehicle currently available in North America. Richard Mille-sponsored project SP80 has revealed its final boat design. The sailboat, which is towed by a large kite, looks to break the world sailing speed record currently set at 68.33 knots (79 mph) with a target speed of 80 knots (92 mph). Two pilots will undertake the record-breaking milestone together in the purely wind-powered sailboat. As sailing at 80 knots at sea is similar in intensity to driving a Formula 1 car on land, the boat’s cockpit is reinforced with Kevlar and designed to withstand up to 5G of pressure upon acceleration. During the recent opening of Tesla‘s Giga Texas factory, Elon Musk took the stage to present the production model of the Cybertruck. Announced back in 2019, the Cybertruck was originally set for release in 2021, but after a delay, the vehicle is now set to launch sometime in 2023. Musk also issued an apology for the delay of the highly-anticipated Cybertruck. It seems that the Lexus LFA might be the next “it” modern-classic supercar, as yet another example of this rare Japanese machine has landed on the auction site Bring a Trailer.
