41 years after the DeLorean Motor Company released the iconic DMC-12 sportscar, DeLorean now introduces the Alpha5 electric concept. Staying true to the original silhouette seen in Back to the Future, the Alpha5 maintains the DMC-12’s signature gull-wing doors, two-tone stainless steel trim, and rear window louver. The chiseled edges have been smoothed out in favor of more fluid lines while head and tail lights appear as thin LED rows. Inside, the exclusion of flux capacitors makes room for rear seating, and the cockpit features a minimalist aesthetic with large screens on the dashboard and center console. The Real Life Guys has just created what the ultimate off-road Tesla Model 3 would look like. Taking four weeks the build, the build sees the wheels removed and replaced with two massive tank tracks. Fitted with steel frames that hold two 1.3-ton chains on each side, the car is raised 31.5 inches off the ground and sees 12 shocks per side. The total build ends with the Tesla Model 3’s final weight at close to 6 tons and features accessories like a bull bar, LED light bar, and winch. Check out the outlandish build in the video above. Following rumors of the upcoming R36, British automotive YouTube channel CarWow put together a head-to-head between the existing generations of the Nissan GT-R. From R32 to R35, the drag race between generations aims to highlight the technological advancements seen in each car. For the R32, R33 and R34, they are all powered by the famed RB26DETT, 2.6-liter twin-turbo straight-six engines, which push out 280 horsepower. While the R35 NISMO features a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 packing 600 horsepower and 650Nm of torque. According to a report from electrek, Tesla has submitted documents to the City of Los Angeles for a 24-hour diner situated on 7001 W. Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood, California. Elon Musk first teased the idea of installing an “old school drive-in, roller skates & rock restaurant” at one of Tesla’s Supercharger stations back in 2018, and later confirmed plans for a “futuristic diner/drive-in theater” in February of this year. New sketches have now surfaced revealing the venue’s potential design and features. Volkswagen revealed two exciting vehicles at this year’s Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California. Taking place from May 26 to 29, the cars were displayed at the convention’s premiere of Obi-Wan Kenobi, where its star Ewan McGregor was in attendance. The showcars are entitled D. Buzz ‘Light Side Edition’ and ID. Buzz ‘Dark Side Edition,’ with skins designed to embody the characters of Kenobi and Darth Vader. Designers from Lucasfilm and Volkwagen worked collaboratively on the project. The ‘Light Side Edition’ takes its color from Kenobi’s iconic tunic. Ushering in two decades since the R32, Volkswagen has unveiled the Golf R “20 Years” edition, the first Golf vehicle to boast the “R” racing badge. Packed with R-style equipment, the car comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that produces 328 hp (245 kW), a jump compared to the output of the standard Golf. The engine, which drives all four wheels, has been revamped with turbocharger preloading, enabling the power to develop faster when accelerating.
