Mercedes–Maybach‘s collaboration with the late Virgil Abloh has continued with the launch of a limited-edition bespoke S-Class and an accompanying capsule collection. The final stage of the collaboration takes inspiration from “Project MAYBACH”, which Abloh unveiled alongside Mercedes-Maybach in late 2021. Piaggio and experimental fashion designer Feng Chen Wang have teamed up to make a customized edition of the Piaggio 1 electric scooter. The light and practical model is a modern undertaking of the e-scooter concept. Inspired by her hometown of Fujan, China, as well as London, where she is now based, Feng sought to converge Chinese tradition with vibrant and creative design. The body of the scooter takes note of China’s natural landscapes, coated with a watercolor hand-painted using the traditional Chinese brushstroke technique. The green and white paint emulates the natural visual effects of moving and is also inspired by the phoenix, which represents virtue and grace. Tesla has managed to increase EV deliveries and beat Wall Street expectations for Q1 of 2022. According to new figures published by Elon Musk‘s company, the automaker managed to produce 305,407 vehicles across its Model X, Y, S, and 3 over the quarter and delivered a total of 310,048. Despite the latter figure managing to exceed Wall Street expectations of 309,000, Musk called the quarter “exceptionally difficult,” citing “supply chain interruptions” as well as the zero-COVID policy in China, which has led to the suspension of the company’s largest manufacturing plant — the Shanghai Gigafactory — twice. BMW Alpina has now introduced its brand new B4 Gran Coupe. Based on the 4 Series Gran Coupe, the new Alpina model carries a 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six engine that can push out an impressive 495 horsepower and 538 pound-feet of torque more than both the M3 and the M4 in their Competition trims. All that power is delivered through an eight-speed automatic transmission to bring a 0-60 mph time of just 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 187 mph. For almost a year, Japanese YouTuber Ayato has been working on making his very own Kaneda Bike from Akira. Ambitiously bringing the iconic motorcycle from Neo-Tokyo to life, Ayato has been documenting the transformation of his Yamaha Majesty 250 bike. Starting off by stripping the bike down to its essential elements for a concise base, Ayato outlined what elements he intends to remain faithful to while noting that he will be using a bucket seat for added safety and comfort. The body of the bike was first made out of cardboard and replicated in fiberglass reinforced plastic. Toyota GAZOO Racing has finally unveiled the highly anticipated GR Corolla. Bigger and more powerful than the GR Yaris, the new rally-inspired model carries a turbocharged 1.6-liter three-cylinder engine under its hood that’s capable of pushing out 300 horsepower at 6,500 rpm via a six-speed manual transmission through all four wheels. The 4WD system itself can be calibrated to give you more control of the vehicle allowing you to choose from 50-50 front and rear, 60 front and 40 rear, or a more radical 30 front and 70 rear. The classic Range Rover — both in two-door “Velar” form or the more familiar four-door body — is a fan favorite for its age-defying looks and always-tasteful attitude, but for some the standard car just wasn’t enough when it was first released in 1970. Back in 1976, the British tuner Carmichael took the four-door Range Rover and turned it into a six-wheeler, typically made for firefighters before being made more commercially. Collecting Cars has just listed an interesting take on the Ferrari 348 TS. Not for the purist, this 1990 Ferrari 348 TS has been modified by Munich-based tuning house Koenig Specials for the creation of the Koenig Specials F48. This is just one of two right-hand drive F48s documented and sees an aggressive F40-esque body kit and substantial powertrain upgrade. The power upgrade is largely thanks to a pair of Garrett T3 turbochargers joined to the 3.4-liter V8 to produce 520bhp up from its stock 320bhp. This supercar was imported to the U.K in 1994 by its first owner Douglas Hall, who at the time was the deputy chairman of the Newcastle United Football Club.
